"When I first had my free consultation with Claery & Hammonds law firm I told them I was from Oregon and I need a good lawyer to represent me and I told them I was a single mom making $19an hour and I couldn’t afford a whole lot financially they told me everything I wanted to hear, when I decided to take them on as my representation I had to put down a $2000 retainer and they blew through that within the first week just to file my paperwork and after that the fees just kept going up, even tho I made payments on time I was still charged a late fee, I was told certain things were going to be addressed and filed properly and that my attorney would be present neither of things were done, after over $7000 the other party in my case was only granted to pay a little over $4000 based off of the original settlement offer. Also, in my hearing my attorney asked for the other party to pay $25,000 without myself knowing he was going to ask for that amount, it was of course denied instantly by the judge. My representation from Claery & Hammond was awful, if I knew this was going to be the end results I would have represented myself. The amount of time spent from Claery & Hammonds law firm on my case was a joke and clearly only spent to charge me as much as they want and to also take advantage of a single mother that was desperate for representation because I lived in another state where this case was filed. I have emailed them to speak to someone in charge of the law firm about my representation and to discuss what I was charged and I still haven’t got any response. I DO NOT recommend this law firm and do your research before you are their next victim."

"Save your money and stay away! It cost me around 15k for a divorce with no property and no children. I closed my file with the firm 2 years ago and they are still charging me for services. My court case ended 2 years ago so I don't understand what other work there is to do on my case, but they said they are allowed to continue to charge me. They are taking the money from my monthly settlement checks that my ex husband sends the firm. They never informed me that the settlement would be paid in monthly installments and it would be sent to the firm, then to me. So they are charging me for "services," then they send me the minuscule amount that is left after they take their cut. Mind you, I have already paid them for all the divorce services totaling around 15k and they want more. I feel very robbed and helpless because I can't do anything about the charges. Learn from me, do your research and go with another firm."
