Reviews of Aviara Oaks Middle School
"Coach Heath is the only teacher who trains you to be a better student. Most teachers are ok. Some are messes like Mrs. Lin, Mr. Knoll and pretty much all english teachers besides Mrs. Hauk-Wood."
"A cesspool full of degenerates and looks like a prison. They are as bias and right winged as they can get. All the teachers act like dictators and all they really care about is a paycheck. Also AOM falcons are just pawns of fascists. There is a lot of racism at this so called cancer of a school. I also noticed the students with divorced parents usually are the rude ones because they take their negative energy out on others because of their issues with their families and they think that it's their fault for their parents divorce so they feel like an anomaly or a mistake. so this is a heads up about what you'll experience if you come here. You have been warned. When I was attending at this school on May 14th, 2014 there was a wildfire occuring right next to the school and all we did was move to the elementary school that was less than 20 feet away from the middle school so it didn't really make any of us safer. All we did was sit on the lawn and everyone was trying to contact their parents and when the parents arrived the staff told all of them to go to the office to check them out but Im certain that no one listened to them and ran inside the school to get their children out of there because they expect them to go all the way to the office and check their children out while they are sitting less than 120 feet away from a burning field with black smoke all around them. You see a real parent would protect their child at all cost when they are in danger such as a catastrophe like this. So don't worry if your In a time like that the school knows what they are doing."
"This school was freaking amazing for me in 6th and 7th grade, my favorite teachers being Heath and Anderson who try their best to help students succeed, however that isn't the case this year with a cesspool of new problems but i'll just list a couple. If Ms. Lin is reading this I suggest you don't. 1- Ms. Lin: I don't know where she came from, most likely the pits of hell- but wait school staff, before you click away, listen to what I have to say. Ms. Lin does NOT want certain students to succeed no matter how hard they try. She runs her classroom like a dictatorship and a prison. She has a "new rule students made!" (which she really made herself) which implies if we WHISPER OR TALK AT ALL -EVEN IF WE ARE HELPING A NEIGHBOR- we get punished with a detention. This is absolutely ridiculous as one of the falcon 4 is "work together." She is everything AOMS "tries" to diminish. Kids get targetted and sent to the office, given a detention, or worse for not doing anything. I have never got a detention myself but I see it all the time. If a kid coughs, she goes "DETENTION!!" (im not joking people get punished a lot for coughing) and if the student tries to defend themselves to avoid a permanent mark on their record the punishment gets worse. They're treated like slaves to a master for trying their hardest, however these are only the males. Females can get away in her class with just about anything, screaming, punching, kicking, talking back, and all, the most Ms. Lin has ever punished a female is giving then a slight nudge. Keep in mind they do the SAME THING THE MALES THAT GET PUNISHED DO. She gives out WAYYY too much homework, 2 packets of 5 pages to do in 3 days? Are you serious? This would be fine in elementary school BUT WE HAVE OTHER TEACHERS WHO ALSO GIVE OUT HOMEWORK. She doesn't teach the material well at all, and she mumbles when she talks so you don't even know what you're learning and end up flunking the test. 2- Fuentes: I'm not sure what happened to Mr. Nelson but he was so much better than Ms. Fuentes. I don't know ONE student who prefers her over Mr. Nelson, and unlike Nelson, Fuentes doesn't know how to talk to kids at all, and just seems like and IS those sterotypical old women you see in movies that have schools where the teacher just picks on every student. Honestly Ms. Fuentes isn't as bad as Lin, the difference is Ms. Fuentes can do good for the school and she tries, but Lin is the opposite. If AOMS really did promote the falcoln 4, they would clear any detention given by Ms. Lin to save these innocent children a shot at getting accepted into a college. I feel seriously bad and pity anyone who has had Ms. Lin ruining your education. Also note as an American citizen I have a right to freedom of speech, and I am doing what this section of the internet is made for, reviews on the school."
"**DISCLAIMER** I am entitled to my opinion, keep that in mind or I can and may sue you for violating my first amendment right. (Freedom of Speech) First- Where is the 0 star button. Okay, now that i've got that cleared up I want to say, I've had a total of... lets see... 4 good teachers in 3 years. Food is meh (buy on thursday there is pizza), students are alright (don't be that annoying sixth grader!!) Mrs. Pujji, Coach Heath, Mrs. Hauck- Wood, and Mr. Murray are key. I had at least one of them every year, and let me say, they keep me going. Now I think track is great, but that is about it. I'm not a neat freak, but it is gross... urinals overflow, people don't flush (ew) and when it rains, the puddles are dark black. It's hard to say what made me dislike this school, because there is a lot to chose from. One example is that I ALWAYS get dragged into some nonsense for doing nothing, like when I got a behavior reflection form for refusing to give any evidence that might get my friends in trouble. Also the dress code is rediculous! I have a Hawaii shirt that looks like the Heinekin beer logo and I got dress coded even though it didn't violate any of the conventional written dress code as stated in our planner. I could go on all day... believe me, but I don't want to so i'll just end it here. If you made it this far, thanks for reading, and good luck!"
"I personally enjoy this school...a bit. You guys should really check out the you-tube channel "I Hate Everything". Yeah the school is fun and all but they are missing a big portion of creating a good childhood and a good school experience. They have Doritos but no Mountain Dew. I mean really, how can you have a good 8th grade end of the year party without 37 pounds of Doritos and 59 gallons of Mountain Dew? It's just not the same though.. Maybe they will change this but I'm not certain. I do like the teacher though. Most wear glasses and it's pretty funny because I assume they wear them for MLG reasons.. The gym teachers also teach us some cool baller skills and use them in the classroom by putting PERMANENT marks on the wall with staplers that look like hit-markers. I know some friends that enjoy the food but I think otherwise. Basically, it was an alright school until they decided to not use Dew. True, true. Nick is right about that and Vincent is right about the ease-ability to get qwikscoped in class."
