Premier Swim Academy (at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center)

"I really wish I could give them more stars. Although, swim lessons wasn't so bad however, ever since our daughter has joined the swim team, I'm not sure if this is where she will excel the most as a swimmer. The swim team coaches are not friendly, they hardly ever say hello or even nod. There is never any feedback on how your child is doing or how they can improve. If your child is out sick for a week, they are indifferent and not even sure if they noticed or care that they were not there. When you call, no one picks up, when you leave a voice message, no one calls back. Sometimes, the time trials are not even reported back or at least not with a header that specifies which strokes they were timed for. I'm not sure why our daughter is not improving and moving to the next level after so many months. As a parent and as a swimmer, you're kind of in the dark as to what the end goal is and how much longer before your child levels up. Plus, it's freezing, and the rainy weather and being outdoors is not ideal. The kids are asked to come out of the pool and walk over to the diving boards instead of completing a lap in the end of the pool where the diving boards are so they don't freeze in the cold. To boot, the monthly fees have gone up."

"We’ve been coming here off and on for years. In comparing my older children’s swimming skills and abilities, the ones who learned with Premier are better swimmers. They focus on technique and it shows later on when they have the strength. I also have to say they’re wonderful about working with your scheduling and make ups. Everyone has never been anything but really kind and accommodating."

"Very poor customer service, they will charge you whether or not the can accommodate a time for your child to take lessons. My daughter took lessons here for 5 months and didn’t learn any useful skills. We will pick one of the many other options for swim lessons in the area."

"What a great facility! We are visiting from TO, Canada and really enjoyed our visit today. There are two main pools - lane pool for lap swimming, shallow pool (4ft all around), and finally a wading pool and splash pad for toddlers. My kids (2.5, 6, 8) really enjoyed it they did not want to leave. Lounge chairs are plentiful in all areas. We went around 10:15 am on a Friday and it was quiet. One of the lifeguards said it gets very busy after 2pm. Lifeguards are friendly and staff is very helpful. Change rooms and pools are all very clean. Pool is salt water, which is so much better than chlorinated. We brought lunch for our kids and they were able to eat there at the lounge chair area. For the 5 of us, it cost $15 for a day pass and we learned that you have in and out privileges for the day, which is great. All in all, an awesome place and we would definitely return."
