"Dont be fooled by some of the five star reviews, they are teachers pets. The teachers at dana are all right, but everyone wants to be old. All these little kids think they are cool. But this school is pretty damn trash. Some teachers are baised to race. Like I said though, there are some select teachers that are alright and treat you with some decency, to some extent. Otherwise the school is garbage and the community/students and this school are kinda stupid. Oh yeah I would give Mr. Flores ZERO STARS. Mr. Flores has an unreasonable hate for all kids who play Drums. He just refers to you as “drummer” or “you there.”"

"The school is one really good school if you want high quality learning and good grades, I believe this is a great school to go to! There are some things that aren’t so good, like some teachers (Mrs. Bi) but most teacher make it fun and enjoyable and if you work hard enough you will love your grades."

I haven't gone there for a few years, but there is no possible way teaching quality can dip that fast. Kids, try hard and you will do fine. My advice: get advanced classes and don't be the random lowlife in the corner. Some great teachers are Mr. Kasten, Mrs. Kocar, Mr. Rosenberg, Mr. Kagen, and countless others. This is a great school, so have some fun."

"This school is ok if you get good teachers. There is a lot of field space and the class changing sets you up early for High School and beyond. This school is clean and fun. It would get a five star from me if there was no inconsistency in the teaching quality. (if you have Clark switch out!)"

"It seems to me that many of these one-star reviews were written by students who didn't try to succeed and were upset by teachers pointing it out. Dana Middle was a great middle school. I lived right up the hill from it. The teachers and staff members were always kind, unless given a reason not to be. One of my favorite and most memorable teachers actually taught 5th grade history here. He had us memorize the introduction of the Declaration of Independence and made every lesson fun. He was a great teacher. Great school, great teachers."
