Reviews of School of Holistic Touch
"During the time you study at this school, you'll find yourself as a co-creator of your learning. You'll be part of a community that will exist and thrive as long as you want it. The curriculum is rigorous and yet, completely attainable. The teachers go beyond their roles as instructors and become guides who will lead you to success."
"I have been to three highly accredited massage schools in California. This school teaches all the modalities you need, has workshops and access to new and relevant information in the field of bodywork to keep you at the top your league. School of Holistic Touch also has the BEST massage supply store I've ever been to in California. This is the best school and the staff is amazing! Worth the commute!"
"This is a great school for learning Massage Therapy. They offer complete training which includes a variety of techniques. The classes can be taken individually, which made it easy for me to attend and continue working while I trained. Armando and Alex are very helpful and ensured that my training and certification went smoothly. There are several unique and dedicated Instructors that bring their own special insight to each class. I enjoy returning to the school and participating in continuing education courses as often as possible. I highly recommend School of Holistic Touch if you are interested in getting certified and working as a Massage Therapist or if you just want to be able to give a great massage!"
"School of Holistic Touch is the place to go for a great education to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. The staff is professional, helpful and friendly and always willing to help. Classes are kept small so you can get one on one attention. Classes are also offered at varying times so everyone can find a schedule that works for them! They even have a retail area where you can purchase supplies and books to help further your education. A great place to get continuing education credits!"
"I had the honor of attending this school in 2009 and 2010, and I still go back to do Teacher Assistant work because I want to give back, and because I have so much fun there. The School of Holistic Touch is a small school - it's not one of the big corporate places that only care about your money. It has a maximum class size of I believe 10 or 12 students, ensuring you will get plenty of one-on-one time with your instructor. It's also a very flexible school. While many trade schools require that you pay your tuition up front and are locked into a certain curriculum, the SOHT allows you to take classes at your leisure and pay as you go - so long as you have met the pre-reqs. Do you want to take the Swedish/American class this year just to see if you like it, and then maybe sign up for Deep Tissue and Reflexology? You can do that. Moreover, if you decide for whatever reason you need to drop a class before you're half-way done, you will be refunded what you have paid. And what you will be paying is very affordable compared to other trade schools as well. More importantly, the education is stellar. I can say confidently, as a Licensed Massage Therapist working at a spa and elsewhere that the school's name carries with it a positive reputation - and with good reason. Employers have heard of it because they know therapists they hire who have graduated from this school do an excellent job. I've received many massages from professional Massage Therapists, and when I go back to evaluate students for their Swedish final or midterm at the school, the massage I receive from these students is very often as good or better than I would receive at (say) a Massage Envy. This is because the teachers know what they are doing and they care about the education of the students. It's a great place to learn, and it's a great place even to spend one's time. There's a positive energy about the place, and if you go here you will inevitably find connections with other students that will outlast your time spent at the school. There's also a store located within the school that provides anything you might need in your massage career. I still go back to fill up on massage cream or buy new linens. You can also get your table here, buy essential oils and crystals, or books on anatomy, reflexology or many other subjects in the field. This school is affordable, effective and fun. I've made lasting friendships there and I am also grateful for the education which allowed me to get to where I am today in my massage career. I highly recommend it."
