"Our ladies Jiu-Jitsu group was in Oceanside for a few days and decided to give surfing a try! We are SO glad we did! Everyone at Oceanside Surf School was genuinely excited to help out in any way they could. After getting us suited up, they explained basic terms, parts of the board, and how to pop up and stand on the board. Once in the water, they helped us each catch some waves while keeping things safe and playful. I really enjoyed the short breath before getting in the water to take it all in. "Our kids, age 16 and 10, took their first ever surf lesson during our recent vacation to Oceanside. It is the one activity that both of them can’t shut up about!!! The staff was AMAZING with our kids! Especially our daughter who was very nervous and had trouble gathering up the courage to even lay on the surfboard,m. The staff was incredibly patient and just took time to chat with her and calm her fears. When Matthew came and checked on her, his energy instantly jived with hers and she was up on the board in no time!
