"If you have a child with special needs be ready to advocate like a mother. Listen to your gut and don’t let them gaslight you in an IEP meeting. You know your child best. The district wants to do what is easiest for them. Every child deserves to be in the least restrictive environment with appropriate supports. Just because a child can't keep up doesn't mean they need to be in an SDC room(most restrictive and segregated). Children learn best from their peers."

"My daughter has been coming here since she was in TK. Their schools have great staff and students. The curriculum is great. There top school, Whitney is the second best school. We love the principals such as Mr. White, Dr.Tracy, and Mr. Amburgey. I recommend this district for every new comer. They just need to fix their food since it taste like plain rubber."

"As a grandparent who is involved on a daily basis with my grandchildren, The ABC School District is one of the ABSOLUTELY BEST School Districts. I have a 20 year old and twin 16 year olds that attended this district and they were well prepared for High School. They all currently maintain a 3.5 GPA in college and High School. I currently have a 9 year old granddaughter that attends Mary Bragg the same school that my older grandchildren attended. She is an excellent student and is well prepared for the next grade level. Plus I have a 4 year old granddaughter that will start in the Fall. The Principal, Mrs. Janeway is truly involved in the students Academic Achievements. She places students in classes that are the best fit for them. She is easy to approach and talk to. Every day after school at dismissal, she is out in the parking lot to ensure safety of the students since parents are driving in the parking lot to pick up their children. I have been involved in this School District for 15 years and I am happy and pleased with this District. I could not ask for a better District."

"I was raised in ABC unified school district. Now that my son goes there, I've had to deal with the new administrators. I do not understand why they do not feel it's important to help children with special needs. It really saddens me that the district that I once loved and grew up in has turned out to be like this. For the administrators, it's all a game to keep from being sued. I have been lied to by principals, vice principals and administrators. This has got to stop! My son has been deprived of his constitutional right to an education. The few people that have actually try to help him, have been removed from working with my child. Where I once thought ABC was one of the top districts, I now realize that it is not where you want to send your child at all."
