Traweek Middle School

"I was suspended and not allowed to walk for my eighth grade graduation because a teacher felt like I was being disrespectful for waving at him in class and my suspension lasted for the last two weeks of my eighth grade. This was quite some years ago but I honestly felt like I was treated like that because I was in foster care and I am black. I hope this school changed their attitude towards a black students but is highly unlikely I didn't even see the principal when I got suspended for the rest of the year. It's really sad that children in Foster Care have no representation and I hope attitudes towards children in Foster Care can change maybe they'll finally be looked at as humans and that are children but it's hard to believe that trawick Middle School that will be the case specially if that child is black like I am."

"Excellent school. Great school leadership team in administration, as well as, in teaching departments of science, math, robotics with coding (Project Lead The Way School~pre-engineering), fine arts, language arts, physical education, with a very high student participation in athletics, Renaissance, Gate/honors, state competitions like Scripps Spelling Bee. Principal, Dr. Kodama, has an approachable open door policy to parents. He possesses an extensive background in educational leadership. In his second year as principal of Traweek, he's fostered a highly collaborative learning community. The only middle school with Femineers, girls pre-engineering club in the county. I'm a proud parent of a sixth grade Traweek Titan. "Traweek is a California Distinguished School with a multitude of unique educational opportunities including our engineering focused Project Lead the Way program, GATE/Honors in core academics, the AVID college preparatory program, Pre AP History, Advanced math coursework, Television Journalism, Computer Applications, Drama, Music, Yearbook, Spanish, Introduction to Computer Science, and Robotics. We also offer many enriching extra-curricular classes and activities including Leadership/ASB, WEB, Music, Chorus, Titan Clubs, College Connection, After School Sports, and many more.""

"Great school! Lunch is great and staff is great too. But Ms. Lana is a horrible staff, I wonder how she's not fired since she just doesn't care about the children."
