"New location has an expanded selection of vinyl records, cassettes, vintage clothes and all things 80s, 90s, 00s nostalgia. They specialize in Hip Hop but everything here has been carefully curated and you’re sure to find something for all tastes. To access the shop you can find street parking and enter via the street level gate (blue part of the building) or park in the back and walk up the stairs (pictured gate with arrows)."
"Finally! The perfect record store in a tiny (but functional) space... We searched almost every record store in San Diego for a decent hip-hop and rap selection. It was a total bust until we found the spot. Rare, used, and hard to find... All here. Not to mention a cassette collection like I haven't seen since the 80s! We spent a pretty penny but found a lot of albums we've been searching for. And great staff to boot. If you're looking for these genres just do yourself a favor and go here first!"
"First time in the shop but I can't say enough about FIVESPACE. A music boutique that packs a punch. If you are looking for hip-hop/rap vinyl then this is the place for you! I'm talking about early hip hop like Grandmaster Flash and Kurtis Blow to modern classics from Kendrick and Freddie Gibbs. Vinyl, CDs, cassettes, bootlegs, original pressings, t-shirts...EVERYTHING you are looking for. And if you don't see it in the shop, all you have to do is ask and there's a chance the shop can get it for you! Plus they have a selection of other genres as well - R&B, soul, funk, rock and even a little country sprinkled in. So stoked to have found this shop and can't wait to go back!"
