"From the outside, it already looks concerning. I am not a student, but I have a sibling who the district recommended him to be here. It's honestly like an asylum, I got a tour of the school. Office building looked like the best room out if any other room. There were also eerie tiny rooms with a single desk in there. (From other reviews I'm guessing it's the 'Quiet Rooms') idk how good the school is academically but, the school's environment is not what you want your kid to be in. When I was touring the school. I did not see a single student learning. They were all sitting in there seats doing whatever, another class was watching a movie. Maybe it was a relaxing day for students? I don't know."
"I went to this school as a kid. I got beat, locked up, discriminated and even bullied by teachers there. The quiet room they call it, is honestly very messed up. Innumerable traumas came from this spot alone. Im still scared of the dark. They manhandle kids as if they were adults. Some teachers were cool. I still remember Ms. Ramshaw. She was cool at times but personal stuff would get to her and eventually take it out on the students. I dont recommend this school AT ALL especially if youre mexican, i honestly dont know how its still up and running."
"Do not under any circumstances send your kid here. The teachers teach nothing, lie about behavior, abuse students verbally and physically, make students fight each other, lock kids in small rooms, "restrain" students aka bend their arm in the WRONG DIRECTION. 1/10 experience. My parents didn't belive the stuff they did and I learned next to nothing in the 5 years I was here, crippling my education."
"My son graduated from Rossier Park years ago and continues to talk about his great experience there. He got transportation and education, and I was relieved of a huge burden; the burden of getting my son to school and counting on him returning home without horror stories of being harassed by bullies and teachers who did not understand him. He passed with flying colors. He told me only last week how it was a safe place for him. He received respect from everyone there. That made his whole life better. Small thing? Not. We are well pleased! I recommend Rossier Park. Not your average school, but it's not designed for average kids."
"I worked here a few years ago and was able to get video and photo proof. This school locks kids in closets when they miss behave, it’s part of the training. The “cool down” rooms are used to put kids in while staff members hold the door shut, guess that’s why they are insistent on employees using non slip shoes. The kids can be lock in the room from 20 to 5 hours a day. Some problem students arrive at school and go straight to the rooms for the day. I was suspended when reporting this information to a parent. Then fired when reporting that a staff member Natalie Popoff was found to have a student living with her and sleeping in her bad. Pictures where turned in of them cuddling in bed together as a couple. He was 16 special needs student and she was a 1:1. Buyer beware"
