"I am currently there in fifth grade with the teacher Ms. Mance she is the best teacher ever"
"I loved that school so much good memories there had lots of friends I miss it so much"
"My son currently attends this school. Pre K was outstanding Mrs. Powell and her aide were simply amazing. My son excelled and learned so much in her class. This year in Kindergarten his teacher is Mrs.Gomez. She's horrible. She's had an issue with my son since the first day of school. When we came in happy for the first day of school. She sat in a darks classroom at 8am in he morning, reading a book. She never once greeted us a parents or a new student. Her first words where "why he is in here?" I advised his name is in the huge yellow poster that reflects his name and room K1 along side of his name. The 3rd day of school she sent a note home saying he's a biter. My son has never been one to bite. If your child bites you know long before he get to kindergarten. This is the first that I have ever heard of my child biting someone. Keeping in mind he has been to daycare from 11 months old until her started at this school last year. I wrote note because work 11.5 hours Monday-Saturday. I asked if he bite someone why didn't someone call us? How did she confront him? Did she see him bite etc. She calls me while I'm at work, rude as ever advising this is Cristkne Gomez. I said ok. She goes on to talk to me with force. I advised her to speak with me as an adult and not like she would speak to 5 year old children. She advised me that I am on her time (mind you she's calling during school hours) she told the principal which is good. I have a 2 hour talk with Mrs Scates at back to school night. This entire year it's always something. She excludes my son. They went on a field trip, I was unable to attend so I didn't want him to go. I don't trust her with my child off school grounds. They had a project due about their favorite animal. She made them present their projects in front of the class as she recorded them. Many children didn't say much I'm sure because they are on the spot. She gave my son a 2 on the project. He knew everything that related to his name. I asked him all the questions right there she say "oh he didn't say that when he presented." Maybe because they're 5 and 6 year old children Let's fast forward to today. Today the kindergarten had a picnic. I haven't received any notice, any flyer, any email, text nothing. We called the school to see if there was a graduation for kindergarten. The lady in the front office advised it would be a picnic instead. She didn't have any details it would come from the teacher. As of today I still have NO INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO THIS PICNIC. They kids sang songs and we missed it because we are not informed. I wasn't sure if we should bring something us for our child or if it was a potluck. A couple of weeks ago I picked my son up from school and I over heard another parent say he left the donation in the office. Looking puzzled I gave my son money to give to his teacher for whatever the donation was for. As of right now I have no clue what I donated too. So we get to the school parents and students are everywhere with blanks and food for their children. I asked Mrs. Scates the principal why wasn't I notified about the festivaities she advised you should have been she sent out an email. I reached for my phone and she says "this is not the time for this" totally dismissed me. When my husband walks up I tell him what's going on. She looks over and is in my conversation with my husband. My son asks why didn't I bring a blanket I told him I didn't know to bring one. She still talking while I'm speaking to my son only. I emailed the teacher this morning to see what time the event starts and should I bring anything. I still have not gotten a response. My child will not be returning to this school. She has treated my son in a manner that is unprofessional and rude. Talking to him and pointing in his face. Every time something happens it's his fault. But when some one scares his face or kicks him, pushes him down. That's not noted. Not email, no note, no meeting at the gate. I feel like the kindergarten teacher should be the most amazing teacher. We didn't get that. She sucks!"
