"Peter is the best! Very engaged and an amazing teacher! I study with many actors' teachers and Peter totally made me discover a new dimension of acting."
"Peter Frisch is invested in you. Gives constructive criticism."
"Short and sweet: Peter is an excellent, incredibly knowledgeable, and professional acting coach/teacher who will greatly increase anyone and everyone's acting skills; whether they are brand new to the world of acting, or are an experienced actor wanting to hone and develop new skills. Longer side of things: As I'm writing this, I am about to complete my sixth class with Peter/"The Frisch Approach". Prior to meeting Peter, I had taken a few acting classes at a local community college, which allowed me to experience the beginning/"baby steps" steps into the world of acting. As my passion grew, and I decided in making acting into a profession, I began searching for local and reputable acting coaches. The first name uttered by the majority of people I asked was Peter's. After looking at his website, I decided that his classes were exactly what I was looking for, as his approach seemed different than most, but very promising. After conducting a brief interview with Peter over the phone, I decided to enlist in both of his classes in Santa Barbara. It only took a few evenings worth of classes before I realized I had made a great choice. So much so, that I then decided to take an additional four of his classes. Peter's approach to acting is different than most of today's other acting coaches, who for the most part practice the Meisner technique. Peter's approach gives the actor the necessary physical (voice, body, speech, etc...) and emotional tools and skills that will truly allow them to embrace and eventually become the character that they are trying to bring to life; hence the "transformational acting". I could go on and on about his technique, and how truly unique it is, but the best thing to do would be to take a look at his website, and even get in touch with him, as he is more than happy to explain. My personal journey and transformation throughout Peter's classes has been nothing but great. His expertise and understanding of acting is truly amazing and quite beneficial to any actor. I have witnessed firsthand both my own personal growth as well as many other classmates' growth throughout the last year of classes. Honestly, I don't think I ever thought I would be able to reach the level that I am at today prior to taking his class, and I know that there is still plenty more room for growth. I now feel confident and ready to pursue acting as a professional career, and Peter is the one that gave me all of the necessary skills and guidance to help me reach this point. I now view him as an excellent coach, as well as a great mentor. If you are on the fence in regards to taking his classes, my best recommendation would be to give it a shot, and you will most likely be pleasantly surprised. Furthermore, his classes are generally filled with great, friendly, and genuine people, making the classes that much more fun and welcoming. Some people even take his classes simply to help improve their confidence, ability to speak publicly, etc... And they too return to take multiple classes as well. If you can't tell by now, I highly recommend taking a few classes (or multiple) of The Frisch Approach. If you are an aspiring and/or working actor that lives in Santa Barbara, L.A., or the surrounding areas, it is an absolute must. If you are simply interested in seeing what the craft of acting can offer, it is a must as well. Thank you Peter for all of your help, sharing of knowledge, guidance and so much more! See you at the next class! Nick Saubestre"
"Peter Frisch is an amazing Acting Teacher, and coach for so many reasons. He is an amazing judge of character, and was able to pick out pieces that not only resonated with me but also challenged me to evolve as an actor. A must have if you're an actor of any level!! Thank you so much, Peter! I'm definitely signing up for the next series!"
