"Ghetto. They are not prompt in responding to inquiries. Very unorganized. And the staff can be very rude and unprofessional at times. Dean hunt is all over the place and not very good at teaching law. Law is an art of organizing thought processes and he isn’t very good at helping you do that or sticking to the subject. Furthermore beware they are nice until they get your money. Reminds me of community college many students there are just that and it shows. They allow two year degrees to apply. Just know that’s also the attitudes you’re going to be dealing with as well. Proceed with caution."
"I spent four years attending online classes with CSOL, graduating in spring of 2019. The program is exactly what I expected. I was a mom working full time throughout my four years and this program was a convenient way to get a legal education. The professors here care a lot about your success but don't be confused, they aren't going to make this easy for you. Its not easy; the CA Bar Exam certainly is not easy. There is a tremendous amount of discipline needed to make it through and if you need someone to hold your hand as you walk through a dark room then you should go pay top dollar for that. The education I received at CSOL gave me what I needed to pass the CA bar exam. I highly recommend this school for anyone who wants to pursue this dream while still tending to their real life at the same time!"
"Great law school for working adults at an affordable price. $9,000 a year plus books. Why accrue $150-200k in debt studying from the same text books used at most law schools like UC Davis or McGeorge law school? We learn and apply the law briefing and arguing court decisions aka the Socratic method. We operate in online zoom video chat rooms engaging classmates and professors twice weekly, so you get real experience arguing the law on camera. Our class sizes are small and students are required to brief cases on a regular basis not just once for Moot court. Most of our instructors are working attorney's that share current best practices while employed in government or the private sector. Our FYLSE and bar pass rate is good. Well worth the time and money to explore the law and see if you have what it takes to make your dream come true."
"After researching various options for an affordable effective law school, I choose CSOL. The school is on the cutting edge of education technology. Being able to attend "live classes" from home saved me over 2 hours a day in commute, parking and campus navigation. The school focuses on FYLSE/STATE BAR prep which is what really sets them apart. The pass rate of their students speak for themselves. I graduated at the age of 42 and like the vast majority of my classmates passed the FYLSE and the BAR the first time. If you work or do not have the time to sit in classes for 6 hours a day, you should highly consider this school."
"I rushed to take the LSAT in February and did not score as well as I had hoped to. I got in to an ABA accredited school, but after considering costs, I applied to California School of Law. I thought that the folks were very nice on the phone and the numbers looked good for Bar passage. I received some scholarship money and was able to make the accredited school work, so I requested my seat deposit back from California School of Law. After countless email requests and several phone calls, I have still not received the deposit back. Each time I call they hurriedly tell me that they need to take it up with the administration and get off the phone. Each email is responded to as if I am inquiring about the school, with no mention of my inquiry. I would be very wary of this school. I sincerely hope that they do provide the services they claim to, but I recommend that you look elsewhere."
