"They are always there when you need them. Very helpful with plan changes and making sure you are getting the best rate."
"Stay away! Misleading information, and coverage denial. Our 16 year old tile roof is (and has been) leaking since Christmas. I had a bad experience with a flood 2 years ago when we moved from Silicon Valley to Paso Robles, and specifically asked about roof/water damage, and was assured we’d be covered for roof problems because we’d had a proper inspection (and the agent came and looked at our house too). The first adjuster, James, came after Christmas and told us the damage was below our 1K deductible. Now, with the continuing rain, the damage has accrued to an estimated 30K+worth of damage to our roof, under-roof and interior, we’ve been told that it was OUR responsibility to “properly inspect” the roof. Had 2 Certified Home Inspectors say the roof was fine prior to purchasing, and was explicitly told water damage would be covered, depending on the type/location. So, now we’ve got leaks all over, and have had 3 roofers and 2 contractors come to look, and the costs (exterior and damage to 4 rooms inside) and the 1st bid was $30K. The adjuster and agent told me that we had not “properly maintained” our roof (I am in my 60’s and have been 100% disabled for 29 years) I use assistive devices at times to walk. My husband is 74. Even IF we had gone up on the roof (ourselves) how would we have known what we were looking at? That’s why you rely on your agent, and inspections, to get proper coverage. This was escalated to a Regional Adjuster in Fresno, and he told me that this was clearly a lack of ‘proper homeowner maintenance”. The good news? The guy said THEY would have covered half of the damage from our FIRST flood, that our previous insurance company did NOT cover. Wow! Underwhelmed! And... somebody keeps taking my review down! Wonder if it’s Farmer’s??? FYI, the stains shown are each 3 feet or larger in scope, and the plaster on our ceilings and walls is crumbling and water soaked. Thanks for nuthin’!"
