"Luis (the owner and lead instructor) has built such a vibrant and welcoming community within his classes and dance events that I couldn’t recommend his work enough. His passion for Latin music is contagious and his attention to detail in teaching is undeniable so you’ll learn how to dance salsa/bachata in no time. And you’re a bit more shy or reserved like me, don’t worry. Everyone is happy to help with useful pointers and you can always take the lessons 100% at your own pace. Anyone in the Dane County area wanting to learn salsa/bachata needs to sign up for lessons with Luis ASAP. 100/10"
"My husband and I have had the pleasure of taking a lot of different dance classes in a lot of different styles around the Madison area over the last decade. I'm happy to report that the instruction for both the salsa and bachata classes has been some of the best I've experienced. Luis does a fantastic job of balancing his lessons between verbal cues, visual examples, feedback, and drilling repetitions. The classes move quickly, which I appreciate, while making sure no one is left behind. I appreciate his thoughtfulness and attention to detail. I've really enjoyed building beautiful, strong, basic latin dance skills with a few really flashy moves built in. This was my first session with The Capitol Social but it won't be my last!"
