"Such a great experience here! It’s our 2nd summer of swim lessons and we couldn’t be happier! Such friendly staff, great instructors, and my swimmer has made such great progress! For anyone looking for swim lessons- Carson is the place!"
"The staff here is lovely and friendly, so my review has nothing to do with them, I just personally didn’t love this place as a “swim school” for my family. I found the set up to be a bit chaotic. The don’t even have 5 minutes in between classes, so the start and end of every class is utter chaos as people are leaving and entering. There is one pool sectioned off for about 4-5 different classes. I did a parent and me class, which had 9 people and 1 instructor. That seemed a bit full. You could barely hear your instructor over the other classes going on. The older kids were only 2-3 people per class which seamed much more reasonable. When you only have a 30 minute class, loosing 5 minutes at the start and stop due to chaos and confusion is a bit frustrating. It was our first time coming here, and we just felt a huge lack of organization. There’s about 50-60 people showing up at once, so there’s no one available to tell new people where to go, the rules, etc. it just feels like a free for all. Our swim lesson started and no one came to get us to tell us or anything. Like I said, nothing against the staff, they just don’t have a good system in place to work. I think for older kids this might be a decent place to swim, but it’ll probably be another 5-6 years before I’d consider coming back."
"3rd session at Carson this summer and my kiddos have learned a lot. From Tigger jumps to now learning diving. Price value seems a little low when considering $30/kid for a 30 min group lesson, so we only do one session of 6 lessons each year, but then can go to our gym and practice using those skills they learn. Next year at 9 & 10, I'm not sure yet if we'll return to Carson or pursue something different...open to options! The teachers are mostly young college kids/teens, but they're very nice and friendly...my kids seem to love them each year, although some seem quite apathetic, there's enough rapport and instructional momentum that the kids seem to learn easily and have fun! Customer service can be short sometimes, but perhaps that's expected for how many lessons are being taught...Carson sure has their hands full! But would be nice to not have to soften people up soo much each time to ask a question...but a good opportunity to practice showing kindness with the same response."
"Kuzey just completed his 3-week private class with Matt. My 10 year old grandson improves year after year—earned his Intermediate II Badge today! He is very excited and looking forward to returning for more lessons. He liked Matt because he was very kind, patient, and showed (modeled) what the stroke(s) should look like! It is great that swimming is so positive and fun here!!"
