"WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! I am a past tenant of 2 years and I have had nothing but bad experiences with the management, Becky and Brad. To start off, I presented an official ESA letter that was signed off by a licensed mental health professional and they shut it down saying I would need to get a lawyer. If you look it up it says “landlords can not deny tenants’ requests for emotional support animals if the tenant has a valid ESA letter from a licensed healthcare professional” which I DID. Clearly, they have not went through proper training for their job, I have no clue how they are qualified. Next, Becky has the most condescending and passive aggressive attitude I have ever seen. My dad was trying to talk to her on the phone and he has a foreign accent and she goes “Can you speak English? I’m getting very agitated!” As if she didn’t know she had to communicate with different types of people for her job. That was EXTREMELY uncalled for, rude, unnecessary, and very unprofessional, not to mention discriminatory. Brad body shamed my ex roommate MULTIPLE times. 9.21.22 Brad said, “I haven’t seen you in the gym in awhile don’t forget that it’s down there”. The next day he said, “I haven’t seen you in the gym since last time I was there. Don’t forget it exists!” Furthermore, they text tenants unprofessionally with sarcasm. When I asked for the termination paperwork in May, I contacted them again in August asking for an update, they said they sent it to me “a dozen times” when I never received anything. The next day I asked about it, Becky goes “My bad I didn’t put you first in priority to the other 300 people I am working with”. Becky doesn’t know what the word sorry means if it hit her in the face. Also, the walls are extremely thin, so if you want everyone in the building to know your business, then welcome here. My dad works in real estate, and has never experienced such unprofessional people, just look at how they respond to these reviews! I’ve had to copy and paste the same messages in chat to them because they ignore my messages for DAYS. Also, I would have thought after 2 years they would have known my first name, but they had to keep asking me every time I would talk to them. I asked them a question about upcoming roommates which to they responded “NO!…Go down and introduce yourself” after they said they would connect me with them. I asked if I need to sign anything else for termination, they responded with “I WILL SEND EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO SIGN” and NEVER got back to me. All in all, extremely DISRESPECTFUL, unprofessional, rude, condescending, passive aggressive, hostile, nasty, arrogant, I will put you to sleep if I keep listing more adjectives describing their behavior. Every single tenant I have talked to agree and also left. Don’t make the mistake of coming here."

"My daughter has lived at the hive for over a year now. We used to be happy with her experience there until some new woman in the office took over. I work in real-estate and customer service and the way my daughter was treated by the new management of the Hive is appalling to me. I do not see how they can continue to stay in business treating tenants like this. This is not a cheap place to stay and as the apartment itself is not the best quality poor management on top of that just makes it a downright waste of money. Don’t send your kids here."

"This is my first year living at The Hive, and so far it has been a wonderful experience. The living space and kitchen is large and clean. I share a bedroom and there is plenty of room for the both of us. The staff here is incredibly nice and easy to talk to. They answer any questions you have and are willing to work with you for any situation. It is a convenient location for students especially, it is only a short walk (even shorter bike ride) to UWL campus. The in building amenities are nice too. Over all a great place to live."

"This will be my second year at The Hive and it has been a great place to live! The apartments are clean and spacious, and everyone who works here has been friendly and willing to help with any problems. They really make an effort to get to know their tenants which is amazing, and any issues that have come up have been taken care of very quickly. They have been flexible with move-in dates which really helped me out when I was in-between leases, and they have been very accommodating with everything else that I've needed help with during my time here. The roommate matching system that they use has been great and I've had some really nice roommates during my time here. My only complaint is that it can sometimes get a bit loud here on the weekends, but it's usually not that bad. Overall living at The Hive has been a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone who is in need of housing in La Crosse!"

"I have lived at The Hive for 3+ years and have had zero issues! The staff is super friendly and always respond to requests in a timely manner. The roommate matching works perfectly as all of my roommates get along really great! There are a lot of perks to living here and I would highly recommend it to any student looking for a nicer "college-style" apartment. There are an abundance of amenities that you can't find anywhere else, in my opinion. Worth every penny!"
