I was surprised at how “aggressive” the lesson scope seemed to be at first but he knows what he’s about; she had that nice combination of being pushed, but not too far and several months in she still looks forward to going and is self-motivated to practice. Sam is very flexible and adjusts to students’ interests while still incorporating the target lessons. Well done!"

"Sam is fantastic! He is great with young kids, able to challenge them, but also see when they need praise and encouragement or a tiny break. He expects a lot and accomplishes a lot in a lesson. He sets good and realistic expectations about practice at home. He is also flexible about moving lesson days and times. My daughter has been taking lessons for a year and a half and has really grown. I expect to enroll my son at some point. He’s also good with adults! I’m starting to take some lessons from him to learn accompaniment to songs I sing. An all around positive, fun, semi-strict teacher who is extremely talented himself. We feel lucky to have found him."
