Reviews of The Learning Gardens
"I was an employee of this place for little over 4 months. I loved every one that worked there and all the kids are amazing kids. I think the administration, staff, parents and kids work so well together to create an amazing community."
"The best childcare and education center in the area! Our 2 little ones transitioned to Learning Gardens a year ago, and the level of care they’ve received continues to exceed our expectations! The teachers do such an incredible job balancing learning and nurturing. All ages follow a structured lesson plan each week. There are also extra-curricular activities throughout the week that include exposure to music, sign language, Spanish, art, and physical education (Jump Bunch). A culinary chef prepares all meals and snacks. We can’t express enough gratitude for the remarkable care provided here!"
"Our son has had a fantastic experience at Learning Gardens since we joined 6 months ago. Thoughtful, dedicated teachers who truly care about these kids, and super fun activities/play opportunities that keep him engaged and learning!"
"In ECE, it’s hard to come across a high quality center that genuinely cares about its staff, children and families. TLG hits the nail on the head for all three categories. Families are a part of the school community, children are valued and respected, and the staff is treated as educators rather than babysitters. I’m proud to call TLG my workplace, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a loving and safe environment for their child."
"Our daughter attended the Learning Gardens from 4 months through her first birthday. Our experience with the teachers and the day-to-day care of our daughter was excellent, we loved the teachers who cared for and loved our child while she was so young and vulnerable. However, we were severely disappointed with leadership and their poor communication skills. When given feedback, the director was defensive and blamed others for the problems, instead of working to create a solution. She defers responsibility and it makes me wonder what would happen if something more serious came up with the care of children at the center. Communication related to the COVID-19 pandemic in particular was poorly distributed and unprofessional. She regularly deferred responsibility for the decisions made to the daycare owners and others. It's clear that her main concern is being liked by everyone and the outward appearance of things. When communication was poor, instead of saying that she understands the frustration and will work to make it better, she blamed teachers for dropping the ball. I firmly believe that responsibility for communication about big topics should not fall on the shoulders of teachers, who's primary responsibility is to care for children. It was incredibly disappointing to see and made the decision to dis-enroll much easier. Her inability to effectively communicate and deferral of responsibility is concerning and the reason we cannot trust the Learning Gardens with the care of our child or any of our future children."
