"Our family has been with the VAKC since our daughter, Josephine, joined the Monkey Room (MR) in 2016 when she was 3 months old. She, like our 11 month old William is now, was in the expert, loving care of Lata until she transitioned to the Train Room (TR) to be with Emily. Emily provided a rich and stimulating environment and adeptly dealt with age-appropriate (but distressing!) issues Jo had biting her friends. In the TR and Jungle Room, Jo not only learned her A, B, C’s but also about other people’s feelings and how to express her own. Thanks to the professional and loving care she received, Jo is thriving and is still having playdates with her best friend she met in the MR! We are lucky to have Lata (and now Tami) caring for William. I’ve been on the VAKC Board of Directors for the past three years and am dedicated to giving back to a center that has been our family's second family for the last three and a half years. They have shared in the joys of raising our children and love them as they would their own; I trust them implicitly. There is no place in Madison that provides the family-like environment and loving care that is provided by the VAKC staff. Under the new, experienced and innovative leadership of Becky Breda, the Center will continue to flourish. I highly recommend the VAKC!"
