"Service was really great. The driver helped with loading my car which was not starting by jumping and it was lowered so he had planks and made sure it didn’t scrape when loading unloading even in the rain. the job took around 1.5 hours but they charged me for 2 hours at $195/hr that’s almost $100 more dollars. I would have happily tipped the driver extra for his work but I didn’t like they over charged me. Felt ripped off."

"I am giving this company 1 star because they overcharged me $100. I called them and they absolutely arrived promptly. I have never had a tow truck company tell me that I can't ride in their tow truck to accompany my vehicle but this company did. I didn't understand why until my Mechanic called me exactly 30 minutes after they had driven off with my car without me. I already knew for certain that the ride to the auto repair shop was exactly 30 minutes because I drive to that area frequently. Everyday in fact. 30 minutes to drop the vehicle off and 30 minutes back to Redwood City. Port to Port 1 hour like the dispatcher said on the phone. I was told that the cost is $195 per hour. I was charged exactly $300. Because they charged my card before the trip started and refused to allow me to ride with them to monitor the actual time used for the service. I don't want to call to ask for a refund because the driver kept insisting that I call myself a ride or call myself an Uber. And he clearly doesn't know my personal circumstances as to why I can't or won't. But his lack of knowledge prompted him to insist that I take an Uber which actually left me with no alternative except to take public transportation which took me 3 hours. He did attempt to provide a ride except that when the ride arrived there was only one seat and the driver was aware that my daughter was with me. So he suggested that either I leave my daughter there alone or I stay there alone. Thank God my other daughter was somewhere else safe. The suggestion of splitting me and my daughter up so that one of us females would ride in a car alone with an unfamiliar male kinda concerned both myself and the daughter with me as well as the daughter we called and told about the situation. This was a very disturbing situation and I would never call these people again nor would I recommend them to anyone in the future."

"On Friday, December 1,2023 at 2:28PM, I called AAA for service regarding my dead battery. Surprisingly on a Friday afternoon, the wait was minimal. My service # was 37396. I have tried to contact the owner or supervisor in charge but never received a call back. Unfortunately I do not know the driver’s name. If I could have given him 10 stars I would. He was courteous, knowledgeable, respectful and extremely helpful. He knew exactly what the problem was and gave me excellent advice. This driver is an asset to your company and should definitely be acknowledged. Please thank him from me & tell him he was correct in his judgement, it was my alternator! Thank you Action Towing for your excellent service."

"This place is a nightmare. How is even possible that your car is stolen which is already just God awful, but to ad to it, it was found on a Thursday, n I wasn't made aware of it being found till Sat evening. This place is closed on weekends, n at 5 on week days, and they charge a $160 gate fee. So by time I found out, the cost was 350 tow fee, then 125/day, (4 days*Tow fee -=850) To pick up my stolen vehicle, I have to pay $850!! So since I had to wait on my bonus check from work, tack on another 4-5 days, so after all is said n done they wanted $1660 for my 2001 Acura .Mdx! My kids Christmas went to this evil place. The man at the front desk , was so rude , probably makes 6 figures Robbin ppl , bc the man wouldn't let me put a fuse in my car, I had to hv my roadside service come pick it up, bc they wanted to charge me $200 to forklift my car outside property gates. I spent the next 3 days crying . My boys face on Christmas. morning broke my heart , had to tell em Santa got lost n had to tk a mandatory weeks ago vacation n he would drop his present sthe following week. Places like action towing make a living off ruining people's lives. Evil. evil. evil!!!!"
