"Love Amtrak, but they refuse to talk to the city about the security staff. There's a young man who works here who will verbally abuse anyone he gets the chance to."

"Great experience at Sacramento Amtrak Depot. Newer facility, great signage. I found the Amtrak staff very helpful. They stored our luggage during our lay over and at no charge. They also provided us a handmade map where we could find local restaurants and shopping. Since we had sleeping quarters reserved for this long trip they let us know they had a private waiting area with snacks for those customers. When the train arrived they provided cart service to the train."

"I often take Amtrak from Sacramento to San Francisco, and back. If you park in the parking structure across from the railroad museum all day, and get your car after 5, you get a commuter rate on the parking, which less than the hourly rate. Amtrak is a much better way to go than driving. It's comfortable and they have WiFi (although it's not very fast). Occasionally the train is running late which can be a big pain, especially if you are stuck at the Richmond station (Bart connection) where it gets really cold."

"Spacious station with plenty of arrivals and departures, especially in comparison to local Amtrak stations such as Roseville or Davis. Lots of seating in the terminal and a long but wheelchair accessible walkway to the rails. A shuttle also runs to and from the tracks periodically. Automated ticket booths and live customer service available to purchase tickets or dispute any issues. I had a great experience - after missing a local train, customer service changed my ticket to a slightly later one which satisfied my needs."

"Large lobby, lots of seating but no AC. Plenty of signage and clear directions for where to catch my train. Couldn’t use the restroom during my last visit because I saw a used needle just behind the seat and the door wouldn’t lock anyway. Please maintain the restrooms better!"
