Reviews of Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopedics
"Dr. Goldberg and Paula, RN, are both wonderful assets of Bellin Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. Both take time to explain in detail the pertinent information and answer my numerous questions. They are easy to talk with. Dr. Goldberg has a good sense of humor. I’ve had a good outcome with two surgeries and feel very comfortable trusting their expertise and care."
"AMAZING AND VERY VA FRIENDLY!!!!!! The VA has a contract with providers for Community Care treatment. Bellin Health Titletown went above and beyond to get my knee fixed. Other facilities DID NOT. Just saying if you are VA and are in need of care this is the place!!! I had tears in my Meniscus and needed it repaired. I also had a Baker's Cyst that burst. Pain beyond pain. They got me in right away to be seen. Dr. Kevin Shepet met with me and was direct and informative. He told me my options and everything made sense. The day of surgery (I had it scoped and repaired) I went in and it was flawless. Checking in at Bellin Hospital was like a ballet. People in, around and up the elevator. The staff was friendly and kept me calm. I wasn't worried about a thing. When I woke up I felt great. NO PAIN ... but ok drugs, I get it. The staff was amazing during recovery. Now the amazing part!!!! Went from crutches for 2 days to my VA walker with wheels and brakes. That for about a week then a cane for a few days. I waited until I was told I could walk on it at that point! NO PAIN, a little swelling still and this is only a few weeks after surgery. I TRUST THEM 100%"
"Dr. Vaughn and his staff were amazing! They made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Vaughn did carpal tunnel surgery on both of my hands and did EXCELLENT! I feel so much better and no pain or numbness. I will def recommend him."
"100% recommend! From the door person checking temperatures, to the surgeons and physical therapists, every staff member I have interacted with has helped me with patience, professionalism, and kindness. I had a comminuted, displaced fracture of my left clavicle, along with a collapsed lung and broken rib from a horse accident. Dr. Shepet explained in our initial consultation why surgery was suggested (greater than 100% displacement in my case- meaning the broken ends of my clavicle were not touching, and likely wouldn't heal anatomically correctly) and what the procedure would entail. All of my questions he- my surgeon... not his assistant, but the man who would fix my collarbone- answered fully and completely, without once speaking down to me, or making me feel my concerns were unwarranted or silly. After deciding this surgery was best for me, the steps leading up to surgery day were well-defined and simply laid out for us during scheduling. We knew where to go, not just the address, and once again, any and all questions were met with kind and complete answers. We scheduled everything right then and there, from covid test, to surgery day and initial follow-up... once again with my surgeon himself... and first my physical therapy. Until then, I'd never had surgery, had never been anesthetized, and have sensitivities and allergies to certain drugs... and the preoperative nurses were aware and handled my needs effectively. The surgery itself was completed in less time than anticipated, and while the recovery process coming out of surgery was not fun for me, yet again the nursing staff was exemplar. Specifically my nurse Aleena, who held my hand, acted promptly when my pain was unbearable and made sure I felt safe and well-cared for. Again, having never been through any of this, I never felt scared or alone. Regaining mobility and strength were top of my list as I care for my three horses myself, and within a week of surgery I was able to get back to the majority of their care, limited only by my restrictions- up to a "cup of coffee" only with the left arm. Chase Neir has been my primary physical therapist and yet again, I've been met with nothing but kindness and professionalism during my journey back to full use of my left arm. I ask a lot of questions to be sure I fully understand each movement or exercise correctly, and every question, even the very silly ones have been answered tactfully and completely. His optimistic attitude is infectious and even though I'm not a sports professional in the typical sense of the word, never once did I feel like my healing and recovery was any less important to Chase than that of a professional athlete. I'm just over the ninety-day mark since Dr. Shepet fixed my clavicle fracture with a plate and screws, my restrictions are all lifted, and I am grateful for the part each staff member has played in my speedy and complete return to horse chores, trail riding, dressage, and the other hobbies I'm able to enjoy again like yoga and dance. There are two views shown, both before surgery and at my most recent consultation with Dr. Shepet."
"Very easy to register and prepare for appointment. Nice atrium to wait (short). Appointment started on time. Very nice and professional Staff. Dr Anderson took his time and patiently went through my long history. Imaging and procedures done on the spot. Lots of sharing between Dr and patient and all staff to arrive at favorable plan going forward. I will be back."
