"Came in for orientation with my girlfriend to do team driving. We wasted a week all because my girlfriend had a restriction on her license from a prior medication that would make her drowsy. Her medical certificate didn't have the restriction on it due to the fact physicians are not allowed to add that to the certificate. They have to verify the driver is okay to drive with any medications or conditions. This information was provided from a physician. The employees at the terminal were very professional, yet corporate is/was not. Update: We have been following up trying to fix the issue. Documents have been provided to Western Express proving that there were not any medical conditions, nor medications to be listed on the long form for the medical certificate. Now we are told she falsified her medical certificate documents by not listing her medical information. We are unsure of how my girlfriend falsified information if there was no information to put down? Still waiting on the Safety Admin. to reach back out to us. We'll add more as this continues."

"I currently work for western express the only bad thing about this company so far is that it really needs to improve on is its pay and communication skills. Also if you come to this company do not come here and be a solo driver you will not make miles or money. You need to have a teammate and be a team driver. Also, they need to work on dispatch as well. Update 2/15/24 Everything up top is true except for the pay for team drivers. I have 4 years of otr experience. If I were to go solo, I would only make .51 cents a mile. With my teammate, I make .55 cents a mile split. If you don't know 55 cents, split between 2 drivers is .275 cents per mile. Me and my teammate have only seen a paycheck over 2k combined once. Other than that we have only seen a combined total of maybe 1400 at best. Plus if you find a better paying job and need to get home for that job they will not help you out. I have a load going to NY that delivers on Friday and they said they could not find anyone to come take the load and get me home so I can take the truck to their terminal in Nashville. Instead, they wanted me to make the delivery, then send me to a PA terminal and get a bus ticket home. They know I have a pet in the truck, and most busses will not allow you to have a pet. Plus, I have way too much stuff to take home that the busses will not allow me to take. So if anyone reads this review, I highly suggest you find a better company than this to work for until this company can fix its issues. Or get someone better to run and operate this company. Someone who knows what they are doing and knows how to fix the problems here. Hopefully, they can get someone who knows what it's like driving a truck and actually respects the drivers and what they go through out here. But until they get someone like that, I doubt that this company will never change for the better. It will only get worse. So HUMAN RESOURCES if you are reading this (which I doubt that you guys do) this review plus alot of the other reviews I have seen on here on here that are bad is what you guys need to work on. You do not need to reach out and say plz get a hold of us at this email."

"One thing for sure is your attitude! are you really gone do what it takes. We can’t always blame others. If anyone is going to give you a chance, what are you going to do with it. Most trucking company won’t even let you in the team. My dm is great keeps me rolling we won’t say names so y’all won’t go in there trying to ask for him/her. Keeps me rolling as long as I keep driving. Yeah do your diligent work drop that load asap so you can stay loaded. Don’t mess their truck up. If they’re bad it’s because of ungrateful drivers. Who else is gone put you in a board and room worth 100,000 + and you just disrespect it by destroying it. It’s why companies won’t let you on the team. Appreciate being a Western Express employee.
