"I did not see much of Joshua Stewart, but our family was a client of Todd Whitehead in the late 80s/early 90s. Our world is changing fast, and unfortunately I am no longer loyal to only one veterinarian-- Over time, I have had various concerns with scheduling, staff and prices. So far, Dr. Mitch and his team have done an amazing job on all counts. My only reason for four stars is that I wish the exam would be done in my presence. 2024: Changing review to 5 stars. Exam performed in the back seems to have been a covid precaution. All recent appointments have been both highly pleasant and effective, and I will continue returning with both dogs. Thank you Dr. Mitch and team!"

"Complete lack of empathy, patience and concern from staff when calling to make an appointment and ask for guidance on what has turned out to be a serious issue for my dog. I was bounced around between three people, spoken to as if I was causing them a problem, and was completely disregarded with my questions and concerns. Gladly took my service elsewhere promptly today and will not be returning here."

"We had to bring our sweet cat in to the vet and it was sad news. Fortunately, Dr Mitch and the whole staff were super sweet and so professional. We had to say goodbye to our girl but I can honestly say that she was definitely in good hands. I highly recommend this vet!"

"I’m utterly shocked and saddened by the lack of empathy and care shown by Lydia or whoever it was that answered the phone. My dog is sick with a UTI. All I wanted was an appointment for someone to see her. But I was told that all appointments were booked today and the only thing for tomorrow were same day appointments. So I need to call there when they open and hopefully get one of the 4 or 5 open slots. I work with customers daily for the last 35 years and on a much bigger scale than this place. And you can always find an accommodation and at the very least she could’ve paused and asked a doctor what other options there might be to help us out. Could I have just dropped off a sample? Would’ve been so hard to give me one of the “same day” appointments?? I mean what’s the worst that would’ve happened? I understand policies-100% but I also know I’ve been coming there for 5 years but, more importantly my dog is sick and I feel extremely disappointed with this person that represents the clinic and the policies that are set. So all this tells me is that Wales Animal Clinic cares way more about maintaining a policy that helping a sick animal. You have lost our business and rest assured I will spread the word about this horrible experience. Revisit your “policies”. You’re in the business taking of animals who are attached to humans who love them."

"It is clear that the staff and the doctor I met with have outstanding ethics and truly care about the pets and owners. My situation was odd, and really speaks to the credibility of my first statement. Long story short, our family dog was to be a new client (as we were new to the area), but before the appointment came around our dogs health declined drastically. I stopped by the clinic (without appointment, completely at random) and asked to chat with someone about an end of life plan for the good ole family dog. Like any pet owner, I was on the fence about choosing to put the dog down or wait it out... how do you know... what's right what's wrong... what happens if I just leave the dog be... etc. The staff freed up the doctor almost immediately, and the doctor met with me for a solid 20 minutes to talk things through. His advice was heartfelt, sincere, unbiased, and helped me greatly. He also didn't charge me a cent for the visit, which was very kind of him as every minute (in my opinion) has value for a small business. In the end, our dog passed away peacefully at home that very same night and I am simply so grateful to this clinic for their help, their approach, and just being human in this whole scenario. If we get another pet (I'm already having the kids work on mom for this one), we'll definitely be using the Wales Animal Clinic. Thank you all."
