Reviews of Fort HealthCare Whitewater
"The front desk staff are super polite and helpful but the doctor seemed to care less about me - interrupting, not asking questions, she just wanted me out."
"BethAnn Nowak was disrespectful, rude and unprofessional to my husband at Whitewater Clinic. BethAnn entered the room hostile, she sat down without even listening to my husband. Instead, she said she read the notes from his ER visit. She added in a stern disrespectful tone of voice that he wasn’t going to call the shots. My husband was in so much back pain that he just sat there and took her mistreatment of him. He was in pain and lacked sleep. He was vulnerable therefore he acted vulnerable. I was in disbelief of her behavior to the point of where I just sat there with tears streaming down my face. I eventually mustard the confidence to voice that she was mistreating him. She responded by pointing her finger at me and in a stern tone of voice, said, “STOP!” What I said must have woke her up, because after that, she changed her tone of voice and became calmer (but still rude). I then asked her why she couldn’t have just entered the room the way that she was communicating with us now. It would’ve been nice and professional if she walked in the room and said, “Hey I read the notes from your ER visit, “ and in a professional manner, said “this isn’t how x y and x works.” From there, she could have provided us eduction. For example, she could have said something like, “These are the next steps that need to be taken in order to x y and z…” My husband was/is in so much back pain. After his ER visit, out of desperation and trying to be proactive, I encouraged him to reach out to his past surgeon, which he did. Then, I encouraged him to schedule an appointment with BethAnn because his past surgeon can’t/won’t see him without a MRI. Instead of showing him compassion and providing education or redirection, she treated him like he was a junky shopping around. She even made comments eluding to him not being in pain. For instance, when he said that he was in so much pain that he could hardly even walk without Ibuprofen , she said, “ I saw you walk in here.” When he informed her of the dosage of Ibuprofen he was taking, she said that dosage wasn’t strong enough to help someone of his size, doubting his pain. I work in healthcare, and have collaborated with MD care teams for years. Never in all my years have I experienced or witnessed a medical professional treat anyone like garbage or human filth until that day. Now when people complain to me about Fort Healthcare, I’ll definitely believe them."
"Never a single bit of urgency in the case of an emergency. 50/50 chance they get my refill correct even though it's been the same prescriptions for years. I've waited half the day for a call back when told they would get back to me "shortly". Everything was great when Fawn Townsend was there, but for the same reason I'm frusterated with the mismanagement of this clinic, I'm sure she went off to greener pastures."
"I am so grateful to have worked with Aly Patten, one of the physical therapists at Fort Healthcare in Whitewater. I was feeling pretty hopeless about my back pain, and she instilled confidence in me and was incredibly gentle and patient in my journey to gaining strength to support my pain relief. I tried physical therapy before, but it was unsuccessful because I did not feel comfortable sharing that the exercises were too difficult for me or caused me too much pain, but Aly made sure to check in with me and listen to me when the pain was too much. After working with her for a few months, I am so much more mobile than I was before. I just finished with a move and am so incredibly thankful for her help with getting me stronger and moving in ways that is healthier for my back. Something that used to have laid me out for week is now more like a dull throb. I cannot say enough good things about Aly; I would not be where I am today without her support and help."
"Had a ear infection a few weeks ago and went in there to ask if they could help but they said no we can't do that your a doctors office they said no joke for me to leave and they very rude horrible they want to help no one"
