J D's Big Game Tackle

"Bought two "Indiana Jones" safari hats less than 6 months ago, one of which had a broken strap clip, so it could not be tightened around your neck. Took the hat back to the shop to fix/replace and was told by the owner that there was nothing he could or would do to fix the defective part, replace the hat or call the distributor for the part and/or new hat. Basically he could care less. We, as JD's customers, had to contact the distributor who eventually sent us a brand new hat within two weeks. The Distributor said that JD's, as the retailer, could have, and should have taken care of this matter for us. As a result of their poor customer service, we will no longer buy from this retailer on Balboa Island."

"Owner was horrible. Rude and arrogant. Wouldn't even let me use my credit card on a $22 purchase of swim baits and lead heads because it would cut down on his profit margin. Told me to use the ATM at the liquor store, which cost me a $2 service charge. Has not one care about helping the customer, rather a dollar, $2 at the most. I make it a mission to allow all my friends NOT to use this store. And "no" the swim bates were not on any "clearance or sale" they were full price, which was already inflated. Sad, because a resident of the island, he could of made a killing off me in the years to come."
