"Great facility and great people"

"My father in law was not in there care for more than a few hours before we realized the medical care provider was not trained, competent or knowledgeable of the needs of my father in law. My father in law called us in pain and scared. We immediately went back after only 1 hours of leaving him to get him the care he needed. We went straight to the emergency room. When we arrived at Heritage Manor- Hawkeye Care Center, It was a ghost town and when attempted to enter the locked facility we were finally buzzed in to enter a barren place. The worst part was the LPN that was suppose to care for him did not know the simplest procedure. He was so nervous and kept saying he never irrigated a catheter.one of the main reasons my father in law needed care was to remove the blood clots that would clog the catheter. He also did not know how to open the door for us to exit after hours, talk about a fire hazard. Horrible Place! If it matters this is the first time I ever took the time to write a review, that is how important this review is, as I want to protect others."

"This is the most unfriendly place in the industry! Very lazy staff that sit on “Facebook” often behind the nurses stations with no accountability at all it’s a free for all type environment."
