"I've been going to Val Surf since I was a kid, I have bought everything from wetsuits to winter gear. I rented a snow board from them to take my son up for his first time. My wife and I couldn't get the board back in time due to work and we were a day late. Obviously our fault. However, be aware they charge an insane amount, $76 extra dollars as a late fee. Not once was it mentioned to us nor were we made aware that there was a late fee like that when we were renting. I am comfortable paying higher for Val Surfs products rather than shopping online because I like supporting local shops, and I know I am getting a quality product, but in this instance I really felt like I was gouged."

"Great selection of clothes and all types of boards! I wish they had a better selection of skimboards but then again, they are a surf shop. There staff is always willing to help and is very nice when helping you out. Overall awesome Store!"

"I generally have great experiences at this store. However, the last few times have left me feeling differently. The older woman there (must be the owner or their wife) has been unhelpful to say the least. Last time I needed to find some clothing for my son so I went to Val Surf. I was ignored by this woman as I walked around for several minutes trying to shop for my son, never was I approached to see if I needed help. I did not see anyone else around the store and I left frustrated. I'll continue to shop here because my son likes the clothes there, but this woman needs to treat her customers better if she wants us to shop at her store."
