"Mcleod Moving was recommended to me as a company that I could trust to load my POD efficiently and safely. The morning of their arrival, the two workers showed up and moved at a snails pace. They were hired for 2 hours, and after 1.5 hours they had only loaded 4 items in the POD. At least twice, they questioned me about how to get items out of the bedrooms. Even though I requested (via my order) that they bring tools with them, they didn't. They called their boss and he admitted that he forgot to tell them to bring tools. The only equipment they brought was a very small furniture dolly with cardboard taped to it. They were not equipped for the job. At the 2 hour point when time was up, they asked me if I wanted them to continue. Of course I did.... I hired them to pack my entire townhouse. I felt like they purposely dragged out the time to get paid for overtime. What should have been a 2 hour job with two guys, ended up being 5 hours; and they didn't even finish the job. At one point I even questioned myself if they were "real" movers. During the packing, the broke a very expensive floor lamp and said nothing about it and didn't even offer to clean up the broken glass. When it came time to move the fridge into the POD, they were stumped on how to disconnect it from the wall, and asked me if I knew how. I suggested they YouTube for directions. I expected they would know being they worked for a moving company. Once they finally figured it out and moved the fridge, they left a huge scratch on the front of the fridge. During this entire job, their boss kept calling them asking them if they were done yet, which made me feel pressured and anxious. I felt like at any time they were going to leave the job. In the end, they left and it was not completed. They stated they couldn't fit everything in the POD. The next day, myself (58 yrs. old) and my friend (also in her 50's) finished packing the remaining boxes into the POD; something that the packers did not finish the night before. We were able to easily fit everything into the POD despite the workers stating not everything would fit. Upon unloading my POD 2 months later (this past weekend), I was horrified to find that SEVERAL pieces of my wooden furniture were damaged with scratches all over the pieces. In addition, the front of my fridge was gouged horribly due to the metal bed frames being placed against my fridge during the packing process, despite the blankets I had provided. There is clearly HUNDREDS of dollars worth of damage, and all that the owner said to me is that he’ll pay me .60 cents per pound to cover the costs of all my damages. In addition to the cosmetic damages to my fridge, it no longer works properly, and the total amount that .60 cents per pound allows for my fridge to be repaired (or replaced) totals $150. What a joke! So, should you find yourself in need of a moving company……… would you hire this company???? AND, in the case of an unfortunate event, you won't be satisfied with how the owner chooses to deal with any damages done by his workers. In the end, the owner of the company shared with me that the two men who worked for me that day were new and are no longer working for him. Hmmm….. I wonder why?! They packed the POD the end of July (2022), and I just unpacked it a couple of days ago (9/22). My advice? I highly recommend you look in a different direction when looking to hire a moving company. Learn from my unfortunate experience."

"This company had been scheduled through U-Haul to load my furniture; this had been scheduled on 03/01. The day of my move, I had not heard from this company, I reached out and was informed they were closed and could not complete my move. While I understand this occurred during the Covid-19 / S.I.P, they should have reached out and informed me I needed to find another moving service, and when I spoke to someone on the phone, they were rude and hung up on me. Terribly unprofessional transaction."
