"My name is Toby Ching and I am a former student who graduated here from K-6 and I want to say that this school is really wonderful. This school has an enjoyable atmosphere and staffs are respectful. I did make a few visits here to the school since my little sister now enrolls here and as time flies, some staffs were a bit disrespectful towards me when they profiled on how I wasn't my little sister's older brother. Nothing to major aside from it being a small misunderstand but during my enrollment here, there was definitely bullying and staff here (looking at you yard duties and some teachers), to be a little bit easier going with children. Any parent staff need to realize that these children/students here are to be in a safe, enjoyable, and comfortable environment and they are placed under your responsibility to not make them feel sad or angry towards you. Personally from my experience here at school, I was definitely frustrated with some teacher staffs here because of how one time I got told to go to a different classroom to finish my work because I was talking and I was placed in Mrs. Hutto's class and right when me and my peers were about to leave we decided to rush back to our class and she caught us and yelled at us and I got yelled again and got put put in time out for her. And I especially want to bring up on my first year in this school which was Kindergarten on how I was supposed to bubble in an answer for a test about shapes (I was supposed to bubble in the square) and Mrs. Goodings told me all the answers I bubbled in (which I bubbled every single one) was wrong and I got put in time out and I couldn't go to recess so I cried about that and it still engraves my mind on how some staffs here need to be respectful towards children. Furthermore, I think this school is still an excellent choice to place your child for enrollment and most staff here are kind. If you do take notice of your child having any sort of negative emotions or mental issue then please contact the Principal about the problem and let your child speak their mind which this has worked for me back in the past when I got bullied."
"I love it here I've been going here for 3 years. And to Stefanie walker this place is not "He⚡⚡""
"I am a retired teacher (elementary) from San Juan School District...and I cannot tell you how wonderful this school is!!! The principal is devoted, dedicated, accessible, kind, on top of it, caring and bright! All staff members are caring and capable. What an honor to volunteer at such a sweet school....with children as the primary focus and family as its glue! Great job...Franklin Elementary. I possess a Masters in Administration with a lifelong career of teaching, so I feel I am a good judge. Many principals in this district "choose" to have their own children attend Franklin Elem. because it is such a wonderful, loving and educational environment!!!"
"Didn't think this school is still around, I'd figured it be condemned due to my experience there during my last years of my childhood. I'll tell you from my experience, this is not a school you would want your child to go to, the entire staff is rude, useless and unhelpful, both in the academic aspect and social aspect. As was stated before, they have a major problem on dealing with social issues and conflicts, one of the major one's is bullying. I never felt more abused and helpless as a student than my time there in Franklin. Dealing with your peers is one thing, but being pushed around by the staff in that school, it's very questionable, especially for the profession that they're being hired for. I'm surprised that the former principal for Franklin Elementary, Toni Westermann, was able to retire, let alone get away with discrimination. Hopefully the current principal for Franklin Elementary, Mrs. Caruthers is more civilized and more communicative towards students that need the help and does a better job than her predecessor. Another surprise for me is that Mrs. Hutto is still there, especially since she was just as discriminating if not more than Westermann. Honestly, the only way your child can thrive through this school in both the academic and social aspect, is if you the parent, have a relationship/connection with the staff that work there. If you don't, well good luck to your child. As far as putting it in a nushell, let's just say your child is well on his/her own without the help or support of the so-called "professional" staff that work there."
