"Jolene Carlson is an excellent primary care physician and I have loved the customer service provided by the OMC team"
"Brought my daughter in to be seen (simple throat culture). Front desk (Jodi) and Nurses Ali and Jaime were very helpful. Being a retired military man, I have been to many medical facilities around the world, and I must say I was impressed-rooms were clean and prepped appropriately; staff was attentive and respectful towards my daughter and labs were completed in a timely manner. Granted, you all must understand we arrived when they opened, so of course, time of day and number of patients are determining factors into any review."
"No transparency on what the base cost is and the website leads you to think it’s a fast clinic but it’s not! I asked for the base price for self pay and no one knew nor did they direct to someone who could help. I ended up with a bill of $312 for an office visit with NP. No test or diagnostic needed. The web site tells you $150-$250 but they lie! Called customer service and they gave me a song and dance that it would have been more at Mayo and skirted the issue of fleecing people with false information on website..Avoid this place. Customer service gets a -10 as far as I am concerned. I am from AZ and when I went to a Dr appt there I was told the base price when I asked and no jumping through hoops to get it. Unfortunately we can’t choose when and where we get sick but we can choose where we go and I totally understand the low rating you have. Great job keeping the bar low!!!"
"The medical staff for the nurse and practitioner that saw us were professional and amicable while the desk staff on the first floor and lower floor were a bit distant and didn't seem to care. Also got details wrong in checking in my wife when they had her ID in front of them that the nurse had to have them correct. The reason for the 1 star is because OMC FastCare told us we needed to go to Acute Care and when we called Acute Care they said they would be able to see and treat the abscess on my wife's ear. But they literally did what FastCare would have done and not do anything to remove the swollen painful infection there, but a nurse practitioner prescribing a more powerful antibiotic. This became a $180 visit with a $36.63 prescription that should have only been $55 at FastCare plus that prescription cost. There was zero cause for the up sale to Acute Care when FastCare also has nurse practitioners that can examine and prescribe the same antibiotic treatment for a skin infection at less than 1/3 of the cost to you. When we contacted OMC about this billing difference and obvious needless up sell they gave a generic response of "Fastcare is limited and can't see and treat everything, so that's why you were sent to Acutecare for additional treatment." Which if we had actually done some testing or treated the infection directly by flushing it out or some level or form of surgery there that would have easily been sufficient for the difference. But this was literally the exact same care as FastCare visits I've had in the past are capable of. At over 3 times the cost. I don't feel they are very upfront with their costs when you ask and the fact that there is a $120 minor care for Acute Care as they don't provide this upon request at the desk and you have to hunt for it online. But it seems rather subjective on what they'll charge you for and they will up charge you as much as they can. I do take issue with a sizable bill for providing a prescription at a multiplied amount over basic care they offer within the OMC system without price transparency."
"We did not want to go to Mayo Ed for eye pain, and given we live a mile from the Northwest Urgent Clinic, we decided to go there. My mom was very fortunate to be seen by Christoper McLaren PA. Chris was very kind, patient, and caring to my mom. He was very detailed with his history and assessment and no doubt he is a knowledgeable and experienced provider. Turns out mom's eye pain was emergency and Chris went above and beyond to call Mayo Ed as we headed there. My mother has lots of wonderful things to say about Chris. I am very grateful for the excellent care you provided to my mother."
