"I can't rave enough about Monte Vista. The teachers are all fantastic, and truly care about the kids. The principal is top notch and goes above and beyond for all of the kids and staff. She received Principal of the Year for all of San Diego and Imperial Counties, and it shows in all that she does. The office staff and other employees are very helpful and caring as well. And most importantly, my three kids all love the school, their teachers, and other staff!"

"Two star because some nice teachers but some are rude. Office is rude. Very Little parent support. Few after school activities. Also the signing your kids in if they are late isn't smart because there are factors like traffic and road work"

"Excellent Teachers and great staff in my experiences for all 4 children. The guy "John Vonsnider" clearly has some issues caused by himself - get your student to class on time and then you won't be late for your work, it's your choice. 2nd - the fence makes everyone go around, yes, that's the point, so people won't be dangerously jaywalking, they'll be using crosswalk like they should."

"My 2 children (3rd grade & 5th grade) attend Monte Vista Elementary, and we have been delighted. The principal is on site and hands on, each teacher has been committed and caring, and there is an active and involved PTA. There are many extracurricular enrichment activities available. This is a nice neighborhood school with nice kids from nice families. Our experience has been consistently excellent, and I highly recommend the school."

"Monte Vista is a great school, the best thing about it are the teachers. We loved every single one of them. The principal, Mrs. Smith, is also very good. The only thing that could be improved is the infrastructure. We live very close to school but there are no sidewalks so I have to drive my kids literally like a quarter of a mile twice a day..... and look for parking."
