"Hidden Trails was my elementary school a few years ago. I was welcomed into an amazing community when I transferred from another school. While my time there was amazing, it started to go down hill around my 6th grade year. One of my teachers back then would rarely teach, or would teach non-related topics. This made it difficult for me especially when the CST rolled around and we started to cram in lessons. Although, teachers like Ms. McConnel, Mr.Dan, and Mrs. Campos were amazing! There are still many teachers at HT that I know incoming Red Hawks would love!!"
"I wish I could rate this school much higher but, the actions of the megalomaniacal assistant principal make that impossible. My daughter has been going to this school for her entire elementary career and she is just finished the 5th grade. Apparently a book my daughter had been assigned was missing. You'd think a simple invoice billing me for the allealleged missing book right? Not at all! I was shocked when Mrs. Henshaw e-mailed an invoice claiming multiple books were missing but, still no problem happy to pay for them but, then Mrs. Henshaw decided to reprimand my child in front of others and also refused to provide my daughter's report card. I e-mailed Mrs. Henshaw and expressed a grievance saying "I thought we had a deal" and she went off on me. That same day my daughter's mother informed me that at least one or more of the books Mrs. Henshaw had billed me for were turned in and that she could proove it so I stopped payment and requested a new invoice reflecting the actual amount owed, Mrs Henshaw went absolutely ballistic I really felt threatened by her outbursts. So I informed her that billing someone for items not owed is not exactly legal and I requested an apology. I have not heard back from Mrs. Henshaw but, I am seriously considering legal action, more because I believe she is a bully who intimidates the children than because she violated the law."
"I went to this elementary school, my final year being about 3 years ago, as I am now a Freshman at Ayala Highschool. The school was maintained well and kept clean, had new books for the library, and the teachers were very good! The staff however, don't seem to be as welcoming as some previous staff memebers, but maybe it's because I only see them so often when I help my mom volunteer. Overall, this school is very good and uses very good techniques, while also providing extra curricular activities, and enforces hard work."
"The review by the parent claiming that our school has no PTA could never have been a parent here. Our PTA is extremely strong and has been for years. The comments made about our staff are rude, inflammatory and inappropriate. Our principal was not new last year and we pride ourselves on being polite and respectful to everyone. Please disregard these statements. That was a fake review."
"This place has very good teachers, especially in the academy. The academy teachers, which is Mrs. Shumaker, Mrs. Campos, Miss Lee, and Mr. Boden. All four teachers are so nice. But I especially like Mrs. Shumaker, which is my homeroom teacher."
