"Pam who works in the office is rude and judgemental. Mr.marino of the Savana school district doesn't comply with the education laws when he doesn't want a child in his district based solely on weather or not he has a problem with the parents."

"Schools get special funding to used for children with learning disabilities and this school is DEFINATELY not using those funds to give children who struggle a chance to succeed. My daughter has been going to Hansen for going on 4 years now and she has an IEP which means she gets special education services. When she began getting these services she was in 3rd grade and at a 1st grade almost 3rd grade reading level and now into year 4 and she is still at the same grade level. After doing research I have found out they are not even providing my daughter with the minimal services she is entitled to. Even worse if that when I try to bring this to their attention I am treated rudely and brushed off. My daughter all of a sudden is receiving detention after detention for falling behind in her work when it's because they are not doing their job. The people here and at the Savanna school district are unprofessional and unethical. They will rob your child of the education or special needs education that your child deserves and is entitled to."

"I graduated from Hansen in 1961 --3rd graduating class! I had attended Savanna during third grade and Twila Reid was my teacher. She and several students moved to Hansen in 1958 when it opened. Twila Reid was also my 4th grade teacher. (So glad they named a school after her!!!) I remember Hansen as being a wonderful school so many years ago!!!"
