"We went to see “The Miracle Worker” at SummerStage in Delafield. The plays are in Lapham Peak state park; the $13 Wednesday night ticket gives you a reduced price $5 state park parking. We parked at the Delafield Park-n-Ride and all four of us rode together into the park. The concessions are simple—some candy, popcorn, and chips, with water, beer and wine options. Bring your own lawn chair, picnic dinner and snacks, and enjoy! The play has no mics, so show up an hour early or more to get close seats. They spray for bugs, too, so there isn’t a TON of bugs out there. The programs are virtual, too, so you don’t have to worry about losing the paper! The performance was fun, family friendly in this case, and well-acted — but the environment, wide open, cool and beautiful, made it so much better. Thanks to the performers and volunteers for making it happen!"

"What a great little place! A co-worker has been involved with Summer Stage as long as I've known her and is now the President of the non-profit organization. A bunch of us decided it was time for a night out to see what this was all about and we all had a blast! The stage is nestled in a picturesque corner of a State park just a short walk from parking. They have concessions or you can carry in anything you'd like. Porta potties are available AND they spray for mosquitos (a WI summer must). The show we saw (The Need) was far more entertaining than I had imagined and I definitely recommend giving this a shot for a night out."
