"The Physical and Occupational therapies that I received really changed my life for the better! For me it amounted to the difference between a rapid recovery and a lingering disability. This place is cutting edge and the staff members show exceptional compassion and competence. My excellent therapists, Meenal and Cheryl, adapted a new technique called “mirror therapy” combined with traditional occupational and physical therapy sessions. In the space of ten short days, they worked in concert to reclaim my ability to walk and climb stairs. My left leg had been completely paralyzed by a medical condition. This condition was terrifying to me. The entire nursing staff (especially Andrea, Cassidy, Tresha and Ebony) gave me great comfort and personal attention. They made me feel a lot better through my occasional tears. The Medical Director, Dr. Hull, visited me daily, answered all of my crazy questions, made me feel sane and provided expert care. I also received a personal visit from the CEO, Julie Hauk. I feel my wellbeing and satisfaction were priorities for her and her executive team. The pharmacist, Manal, went out of her way to facilitate and procure affordable prescriptions for me. From the therapy areas on the 7th and 8th floors, one can catch wonderful views of Lake Michigan, historic downtown architecture, church spires and even the lighthouse in the harbor! These provided mindful moments of reflection and peace. Everybody on the super friendly staff knew my name and cheered me on for my progress. Spacious, immaculate rooms (sorry I didn’t make my bed!) Finally, the food is really good too! I highly recommend the Salmon in particular."
