"if i could give 0 stars i would the museum which wasn’t even a museum the guy smelled horrible nothing at all to see and i was scared to see their horses, i hope they get turned in for animal neglect"
"Do not go here!! I went during a spring break trip as it was the only place open, and it was a ridiculous amount of money for an “experienced” ride as my friends and I have been working with horses for years. We came to the conclusion once we had seen the holding stalls for the horses, that they were extremely malnourished, beaten, and some even diseased. We ended up calling the police department to hopefully get a hold of someone for this terrible form of abuse against these beautiful animals. Saddles were unfitted and tack was not up to par for a place charging us upward 50 a piece for a 20 minute ride. “Trail guide” had no idea what he was doing and was falling out of the saddle the entire time and i just felt bad for the poor horse under him. Two people working to tack up about 7 horses took them close to 2 hours, not realistic!! They were also very unprofessional, screaming at eachother and swearing the entire time they were doing so, this place needs to be shut down for sanitary and abuse reasons, especially concerning the equine section!!!"
"Wanted to fish, website says it's free admission or so it made it seem. And you only paid if you kept them. My husband and I paid $70 to fish we wanted to fish with our son and I was just going to help him because he's not old enough to do it for himself as he only 2. But we couldn't because we would've had to have paid another 34.95 for a 2 year old! Ridiculous. I get that catching fish is not guaranteed however for the price is not worth it. We basically paid $70 for one person to fish because my toddler was not wanting to sit on the bench and I didn't want him on the scary little dock. My husband only caught 2 little bass and bluegill. Bluegill game is great but we went there for the big fish. You also only get an hour and half to fish for the amount of money you spend. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, the odor and conditions of them are terrible. You also have to pay $100 for a deposit plus however much per person! Why do you need a deposit to fish? Will never come back. While we were there, there were people wanting to see the assumed run down aquarium/muesuem building. In which someone rings a buzzer and an employee has to walk all the way down there and they scream at you to tell you someone is coming if you keep ringing the buzzer. This place is absolutely disgusting and run down. Everything is hoarded. The employees are disgusting looking and very creepy. I knew we should have not spent our money but we already drove over an hour to hopefully have some family fun to fish with our son and ended up just angry at the fact they wanted to charge for a 2 year old that can't even fish on his own anyway. Instead he picked up rocks in there disgusting driveway so he was occupied. Waiting to see if we get our $100 deposit back. The website prices are all a lie! DON'T GET YOUR HOPES UP AT ALL!"
"Rode on the trails today and I honestly really enjoyed the trail ride as well as the guide. He was very polite and down to earth as well as the guy who helped prep the horses for the trail. (I believe their names were Sam and Josh! Sam being the trail guide! They both get five stars!) The trail was shaded for a good portion of the ride which was super nice in terms of beating the heat. I do think that this place has great potential to do better! The issues I have is that the parking was noticeably very limited and there's a lot of stuff stored about the property in a rather untidy manner. The prices listed online in terms of horse back riding aren't 100% accurate to your actual total cost which is rather misleading hence we went with this trail ride since they were the only one who seemed to list their prices on their website. Once you get there, they charge you $40 extra for group set up which I do understand, however; that should realistically speaking be marked on the website just so folks know in advance. I'm someone who tries to be frugal with their money as much as they can so it was a bit disappointing to find out about that extra $40 to the overall riding fee! Now, I can't recall if I spotted one or not but if not, I think a fan or a light mister of some sort should be installed where the horses are saddled up before trails that way they can keep cool on rather hot and humid days. While the shade was refreshing here, it can only do so much! So at the end of the day, I did have a nice time on the trail and my horse was very well behaved and such a sweetheart, there definitely should be some adjustments to the property as well as the site! As mentioned earlier in my review, I really do believe that this place has potential to do better!"
"DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! Should have turned around when we were told the aquarium was empty due to a leak they were trying to fix. We decided to go thru the museum anyway. Red flag #2 was when the creepy employees didn't have change for the $20 bill on the $14 total. We walked thru the "museum" which was maybe 10 shadow box displays with horrible taxidermy displays. Some weren't even lit up, half the descriptions were missing. We walked thru what would have been the aquarium which was just 2 small pools. The most interesting part was watching a spider attack a couple of pieces of grass We tossed into the web. I wish we had read the reviews ahead of time and saved the $14."
