Reviews of ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital
"I had a wonderful experience with the Womens Healthcare. I gave birth to my first child in 2022 and will be having my second one later this year here. The staff was so supportive and caring I couldn’t have asked for better nurses and doctors to help make the birth of my child so memorable."
"Going to the hospital for the 6th time. Hart fail fluid in lungs and kidney issues. Brought my mother home and less than 24 hours she back in the hospital. She was there for 11 days you’d think they could figure it out by then before sending her back home. Don’t know where to turn"
"The ER are the worst people. Doctors are rude! Cruel comments from nurses! And they NEVER treat you for what your in there for. They dance around the main issue and give you useless medications that do nothing for you. Unless your admitted, your not gonna get anything but lousy ibuprofen for pain. It's like opioid epidemic is our fault! Why are patients having to suffer with unbearable pain, because of the doctors and drug companies padded their pockets for so many years? They need to reevaluate policy because it's not humane to let people suffer like they do and be so cold-blooded with their services."
"I never leave reviews but after the treatment of my mother in the ER today I feel it's important to make other people aware of the ridiculous and borderline dangerous treatment of the patients here. First off, my mother has pneumonia and is 65. If your loved one is over 50, they simply do not care about them at all. She had a refferal along with papers from her primary doctor to see a cardiologist and an endocrinologist. Her primary doctor called ahead in the AM to let the hospital know she'd be coming in and needed to be seen by them immediately. He was assured that they'd be ready by the time she came in. After her initial visit with her primary doctor, she came to the ER where she was taken to a room and they inserted a needle into her arm but did not hook it up to an IV, stating that the doctor will decide if she needed it or not but put the needle in anyway. She handed them her papers and then continued to sit in the ER for 5 hours. 5 HOURS. She tried to speak to someone 4 times and each time was told to wait. So you've got a 65 year old woman violently ill with a needle in her arm hooked up to absolutely nothing sitting in a waiting room for 5 hours despite the hospital being made well aware 6 to 7 hours before of her situation. On top of that, every single person who came into the ER within that time frame was seen relatively fast except my mother. It took my father showing up and yelling to FINALLY get my mother seen. Now they want to keep her overnight? Absolutely horrendous. This also isn't the first time something like this has happened either. When my Grandmother was visiting a few years ago she became very sick and we took her to the ER. she was 90 and suffered from dementia. She was violently ill and we were concerned that this was how she was going to go. Again, she and my mother sat in the ER for about 6 hours. I'd finally had enough and walked in there and began to raise hell on whatever worker I could find. Only then a doctor decided to finally see my Grandmother. Was it embarrassing for me to do that? Yes. Was it the only way to get my family members the medical help they needed? Yes. Oddly enough, they decided to keep her overnight too, which would've been avoided had they not been sitting there for 6 hours. Long story short, it's apparent to me that this hospital does not care about anyone over 50 and they will refuse care long enough in order for the patients to stay over night so that they can bleed money from them. Stay far away from this ER. They don't care, they don't help, you're not a person to them, you're just a walking wallet."
"Went to ER with severe leg pain. Determined it was not a blood clot. I was told it was probably a tissue issue that would go away with Tylenol. No x-ray taken. Days later, in severe pain, I went to Ortho doctor walk-in and the first thing they did was take an x-ray. Result, cancer lesions in tibia. They called oncologist and I just had surgery and now getting treatment. ER explanation was that there was no trauma nor emergency, so therefore no x-ray. Would go somewhere else first before ever going back. No help from patient relations, talked to medical director and he was very condescending and some what arrogant. ProHealth has a lot of good doctors, but not on my list are two ER doctors."
