"I IQC'd for ASA214 with Ric Dahlin through a partnership with a different school in a different town. It would be so incredibly difficult to have a better experience! Firstly it was very cool of him to work with a partner school and very generous of him to travel. He seemed sincerely happy to be there and to help - just a super cool guy. We were short-handed in the class, and he didn't mind taking helm or grinding winches when I needed to run forward. This guy still loves sailing and still loves time with students, which is fanstatic! Secondly, we had an absolutely phenomenal day on the water. He set the tone and pace at the outset to be very calm and professional. We both showed up early and well-rested, which is great if you've experienced the other side of that. Zero stress, just a great day sailing with some hands-on skills and a written exam at the end. It's also cool that they are a charter base, and so close to Catalina. If I am ever around the Dana Point area again, I'll for sure make a stop at Aventura."

"This place is splendid! I stopped by with a couple of questions and spoke with the lovely ladies in the front office (Ashley and Mitzi). They were so kind and informative about that the club has to offer someone like me (non-sailor). They brought me upstairs to a gorgeous clubhouse and even invited me back to check out their live music! I came back with my husband and two friends and our expectations were surpassed by the hospitality of the staff! We were able to speak with the owner and he shared his love for the club and sailing with us! We couldn't wait to join! We've gone out on quite a few Social Sails, where the club provides a skipper, a boat and 3 hours of fun, just for $50 a person!! We enjoy all their activities that they put on for their members! They have live music, bunco nights, cooking classes with a real chef and plenty more to do! Definiately worth giving them a call and stopping by, you won't regret it :) We're so excited to be new members!!"

"This place is awesome! I called their friendly office staff last week and spoke with Ashley. I had a lot of questions about lessons, how to get started and a lot of membership questions. We ended up staying on the phone for close to 30 minutes (my apologies again!) and I obtained SO much information. I was also able to come and check out the clubhouse and meet some of Aventura's current members to get a real feel for the place. Everyone had nothing but wonderful things to say about the club, the staff and fleet. I very much enjoyed every bit of interaction that I've had with this great club so far and I can't wait to go forward with them! Thank you again, Ashley and all other Aventura staff!"
