"Thanks for being the final reason I have for ending my life."
"Although I have nothing to compare this program to, I found my care to be top notch. Okay, the beds are a bit hard but the doctors, social workers and the nurses (almost forgot to mention the OT folks) were incredibly kind and effective. In my opinion, the inpatient program is as successful as the work you put into it. There is no magic cure; just need to pull yourself up by the britches and dive in. Oh- the food is quite good as well! I would highly recommend this inpatient psychiatric programming!"
"I was directed to call this facility by my Hmo since they are in network. I specifically asked my hmo if I'd need a refferal to recieve services and was told no refferal was needed. Immediatly I was asked for a refferal. This is what I've been dealing with for a solid month trying to get psychiatric services. Call a facility get side lined by the recptionist, call my doctor, he drags his feet on a refferal, call another facility call another call another and keep getting the run around. at this point I'm going to need to check myself into an asylum AGAIN to actually get psychiatric services. do you know how much it costs the state to house me in an asylum for 1 day? 1300$ It's a minimum of a week to actually get treatment. Do you know what they feed you in asylum? elementary school lunches. they treat you like a criminal. You people are vampires leeching off of the government charging outrageous prices and doing your absolute best to not help people who are suffering mentally. I had to study my disorder on my own and purchase my drugs on my own to actually find a correct treatment plan beacuse these apes in lab coats called psychiatrists treat mental disorders like throwing darts at a board while blindfolded Don't get me started on the lobotomized morbidly obese xanax drones that man the counter for these pill pushing sociopaths My post isn't about this facility It's a vent on what it's like to deal with a mental illness in this lovely country. The medication I need costs less than a dollar to produce and is 800 dollars a bottle without health insurance. The money I'm talking about isn't some sort of abstraction. it's a funnel from the hardworking successful middle class and is into the hands of these fine people and institutions in the medical industry. These people are funded by the back breaking mind numbing labor of middle america. whatever words have no effect."
"I am a psychologist my profession. This clinic has many problems. My partner voluntarily admitted himself to get help to then discover that they have no psychiatrist on duty, and no psychologist on duty. The services they provided were limited to occupational therapy, SLP, social worker and nurses. The nurses did suicide risk assessment with basically asking the patient directly if he/she was thinking about suicide. They did no test to assess or validate their conclusions nor any structured interview process. Their security was also faulty in so many ways. The mattresses are worse than hospital beds and they check on the patients at night every 30 minutes by opening their doors without warning and slamming it back shut. According to them there does not have to be a reason for this checks, it is just protocol. So basically if you were not mentally unstable enough when you were admitted, you will be while you are there because of sleep deprivation. The rooms are doubles which means you share a room and a bathroom with a stranger that is also mentally ill. Most of the nurses were mean to my partner. My partner wanted to leave early and the head nurse told us that he could not leave because the insurance was already billed and because they could do a 24 hour hold on him. My partner was admitted voluntarily and holding a person against their will without a court order is against the law. They had a doctor on call that could discharge him yet they said he could not do so because he was not my partners doctor. Why do they have him on call then?? I can go on, but the conclusion is my partner ended up leaving worse than how he got there. I would not recommend this facility to anyone."
"Dr. Cody misdiagnosed my partner, He like many Dr.s use Epic which is a data base that contains all medical info on patients in Midwest, He didn't pay attention to the patient. Prescribed her the wrong Medication which side effects caused her to have a mental illness. She now has to take medication for those side effects every day for the rest of her life. 2 years later a Physicians assistant helped diagnose her with ADHD, now treated everything is getting better.I think that Dr.s who misdiagnoses patients and cause mental illness should be held accountable for there actions."
