Reviews of Miramont Behavioral Health
"Best in-patient hospital. I felt like the Techs were helpful, top notch at their profession, as were each nurse on their shift. Was there 10 days, too long for me. I asked to be discharged. Psychiatrist via zoom increased a medication which made me sleepy of course. off. Was to be discharged on a Thursday but they had me another two days. So overall, they wanted money from insurance of course Sarah (group therapist) was the best therapist i've seen."
"DO YOUR RESEARCH. DO NOT GO HERE. We were pushed here by the hospital, told it was "required" yet VOLUNTARY. Now my daughter is locked in like a prisoner. They can only use crayons because someone wrote on the wall with a marker. GPS tracking devices on their wrists. I can't get her out. She signed an AMA and they are refusing her release to my care, her mother. The "team" met with her for maybe 10-15 minutes and determined it was not safe for her to return home; that must be one hell of a team to "assess" a person so quickly. Being in this prison is going to set back all the good we've accomplished in the past 10 years to achieve a "normal" life for her. Its a for-profit company, that says it all. First we were told a 24 hour hold. Now it's 72 hours, heading in to the weekend so of course the clock stops for that. Being in that place is going to harm her more than any good. They don't even deserve one star but it's needed to post."
"This place is horrible. I was here voluntarily, and was stuck there for 13 days. The nurse would purposely miss the vain, not listen, and pressured all children. The staff were mean and inconsiderate, in this place, another patient would try to nonstop touch me and objectify me. The staff ignored me and continued to let it happen, which made a horrible code blue. The person was never punished or talked too, I had everyone there to vouch for me. In reality, they said I was being “provocative” for doing yoga, which apparently gave him the right to try to touch and make sexualized comments. I’d never ever wish for anyone too go here, for people with eating disorders and issues, they won’t help you either, in the 13 days there with 3 meals a day, I ate 5-10 times maybe. I’d never wish this upon anyone."
"Techs, nurses, and social workers are understaffed and overworked. They were, for the most part caring, compassionate, and helpful. They are the backbone of the system and did their best, overall, to make a difference. The kitchen staff was amazing, but also understaffed and overworked. My experience with those higher up the chain of command was truly awful. The medical doctor with whom I had contact via tablet didn’t listen to me, spoke in a manner that was nearly impossible to understand, and seemed dismissive. I was discharged on Thursday. Today is Saturday. My med order was supposedly sent to my pharmacy upon my discharge. As of writing this, my pharmacy still hasn’t received the prescriptions. We’ve been trying to contact someone to get this resolved and have only been able to get through and speak to a human today. Avoid this place if at all possible."
"While working here for a short time, I witnessed patients being outright ignored, laughed at, or treated as if they were an inconvenience. People didn't get their clothes or belongings back in a timely manner, if they came back at all. Some of the staff were amazing, and the food was fantastic. It didn't seem like administration really cared about the patients or staff. I did not see one patient who seemed to be happy about their experience at the hospital, and it seemed like there was more harm than good done a lot of the time."
