"My friend and I got here an hour before closing and Matt and his family were very accommodating to let us go out for a little bit. It is neat to see all the wildlife and boats as you kayak around the bay. Super friendly couple that owns it knows the area really well. BONUS: Ask Matt where the best sunset in the area is. You won't be disappointed."

"My wife and her friends actually rented a few kayaks from this place a couple of weeks ago, and relayed an excellent experience to me. They said that it was relatively easy to book their kayaks online, and then go there and sign a few consent forms/pay, and off they went. It's $35 for a single person kayak, and I believe $50 for a tandem. Definitely worth it and not too expensive, surprisingly. They also offered a brief kayaking tutorial provided by the staff before they departed. My wife and I went last week and kayaked all the way to the Avila Lighthouse, which is incredibly beautiful and full of seals and sea lions. The Kayaks were fantastic and everything worked out beautifully. Very good customer service and we will be going back."

"We went Kayaking in Avila Beach and loved the service we received from the staff at ABP. The area we Kayaked was amazing. We were able to view lots of wildlife (otters, sea lions, birds etc) and you can kayak to a small beach which leads to a path that allows you to see a lighthouse up close and personal. This lighthouse isn’t accessible by land, so you pretty much have the area all to yourself. Very fun family day!"

"My wife and I had an amazing time in the tandem kayak, which we would definitely recommend for couples. The wildlife was spectacular! We saw a lot of otters and sea lions including babies of both! We stopped and explored at a couple of the beaches and hiked around the lighthouse. This was a very magical experience!"
