"The wedding took place on 5/19/2019. This event center overall was well suited for many of the guests who had attended. Everything was placed where it needed to be, and it made setting/cleaning up pretty easy. As the wedding went on throughout the day. It was already raining, snowing, windy and cold. We thought nothing could go wrong. As we all gathered around to have dinner around 5:30PM, all of their lights/electricity went out. We had no access to the bathrooms, couldn’t wash our hands after eating, our guests couldn’t have a drink at the bar, and lastly but not least our guests didn’t even have any water to drink during the power outrage. We would think that since no outside food and drinks are allowed, not even water bottles, water would be provided for us but most importantly the guests. We were all very upset on to why a venue this big, had no BACK UP GENERATOR. As time went on, Joshua the general manager was trying his best to accommodate us all. With almost two hours gone by,1/2 of our guests had already left because. Luckliy our centerpieces had candles and those were the only things being used as lights, besides peoples cell phone flashlights. Joshua also sent someone out to purchase water bottles for us all, because mostly everyone had nothing to to wash down their dinner, especially the elders. We understand that Joshua was not the owner of this place and had no control. But since the electricity died on us and they couldn’t accommodate us much but by giving us two extra free kegs only, the owner came to a conclusion that this was a “natural cause”, which is why the bride and the groom could and did not get a chunk of their money back. This place is nicely set up, but please have a back up generator for these “natural causes” it’s extremely upsetting to have a venue this big and I believe he said was built in 1927? If this place is so old, and it doesn't have the option to have a back up generator, thar should be an eye opener that maybe the place needs some updating to do. Will never choose this place or attend again."

"The one star is strictly towards the staff. The management/staff was inconsistent with communication. We were told one thing before signing the contract and then told a completely different thing after signing the contract. We were misled and treated poorly during the entire process. Certain things not communicated on the contract were changed and non negotiable. The bar staff didn't properly charge guests as requested by the wedding party and that resulted in me having to pay more for the bar tab. The place is nice but the entire staff is on a different page and unwilling to work with you. I was very disappointed with my experience with Withrow."
