"Positive: 3rd grade teacher Mr. Griffin is an example of what teachers ought to be...professional, caring, disciplined and with a great sense of humor. Kids thrive on this. If only BIES had an army of teachers like Mr. Griffin... Challenges: ~ 3 principles in 3 years ~ Unorganized homework/project communication ~ Parents unable to help students due to obfuscated classroom study materials. Teachers use photocopied learning materials that must stay in class and the text books they do use is used infrequently. ~ An entire school year went by with no formal tests and anything that resembled "homework." ~ School/project supply list written in a vacuum with no clear understanding of what actually is available in the outside world. In piecemeal."
