About the Business
SF Tikes Academy is a full-time, year-round preschool located in the vibrant SF Mission District of San Francisco, California. Our school serves children ages 18 months to 5 years old, including a Transitional Kindergarten program. Our goal is to provide children with a play-filled, social, and joyful childhood experience while preparing them for kindergarten.
At SF Tikes Academy, your child will learn essential skills such as the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, and more in a thematic, hands-on, play-based learning environment. Our students have the opportunity to play, make friends, and develop social skills in a group setting. We aim to nurture smart, aware, and confident children who can thrive in a changing world.
Our bilingual program offers both Spanish immersion and regular English programs, allowing children to increase their vocabulary and conversational skills in Spanish. We also offer a full-day Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten class for children who miss the kindergarten age cutoff or wish to stay another year before kindergarten.
With a focus on safety and security, our facility features a renovated space with modern amenities, including security cameras, alarm systems, and earthquake retrofitting. We follow the latest guidelines from the SF Department of Public Health to ensure the well-being of our children, teachers, and families.
Our outdoor garden space provides a hands-on learning experience as children plant seeds, care for plants, and watch them grow. We offer full-day and year-round care for working families, eliminating the need for summer camps. Our school year aligns with SFUSD, with breaks for winter, spring, and summer.

"We've been at SF Tikes for 9ish months now, and we couldn't be happier. Our son is now 3, and he's in his second classroom. Each classroom has at least 2 teachers and they've all been amazing. He is in the Spanish immersion classroom and can communicate with the teachers in Spanish (and our Spanish speaking friends) even though he only gets Spanish at school! Sarah is the head of school and she is amazing!!! Very communicative, friendly, helpful, and responsive. She is also on top of the recommendations from SFDPH and health advisories for air quality. On smoky days, they close the doors and run air purifiers so our kids can stay in school! This is a BIG deal, as most preschools close during fire season. The community is also very supporting. It's been harder w covid, but we are about to have a moms night out for our classroom. :)"
