Oxford Elementary School

Oxford Elementary School is a small and close-knit primary school located at 1222 University Avenue in Berkeley, California. With approximately 275 students, Oxford may be the smallest elementary school in the BUSD, but it is a community that feels like family.

In August 2020, Oxford was relocated to its current address after concerns were raised about the safety of the previous campus in the event of an earthquake. The new campus features upgrades such as a new playground, cafeteria, auditorium, and renovated classrooms.

The dedicated teachers at Oxford are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive educational environment where every child's individual needs are met. The school offers rigorous and stimulating learning experiences, along with a social-emotional learning program called Toolbox, which helps students develop personal qualities like empathy, patience, and courage.

One parent of two Oxford students described the school as a "wonderful blend of academic instruction and enrichment activities that promote the full growth of each student as a person." Oxford Elementary School strives to help children become healthy members of society and lifelong learners.
