Hometown Pharmacy

"Before today, I would have given 5+ stars. However, today after being to several doctors appointments all morning, having a migraine and just wanting to get home, I decided to swing by and pick up my prescriptions. No one really greeted me, and when the lady finally did, she looked up my info and proceeded to scold me for coming in prior to getting a text message that they were ready. When she talked to the pharmacist, she turned back to me and told me that they were going to stop what they were doing just to fill my prescription. After about 15 minutes the lady called me over to the counter and said, you know we are really busy, it’s a holiday weekend, but the pharmacist will be over to review this with you. When the pharmacist came over, I did everything I could not to break down crying. For someone that suffers from mental health disorders, I really felt like I was trash today when I was in there, other than the pharmacist who was trying to be helpful and kind and apologetic. I felt bad for the pharmacist having to work with the cranky lady. Really made me wonder if I shouldn’t switch pharmacies. I can go closer to home and get poor service, but I go out of my way to come here because everyone used to be pleasant, helpful and caring."

"Love Hometown Pharmacy! I made the switch from Walgreens after they were unable to fill my medications. The staff is so nice, I'm never have to wait too long for my medication and the store itself is so cute. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pharmacy to assist with their medical needs."

"I started using Hometown Pharmacy about 4 years ago for my rx’s as well as my daughters. Not only is Heather (pharmacist) knowledgeable, genuinely kind, always available to answer your medication questions, she is just a ray of light when you come into the pharmacy! And then there are Dawn, Kelley, & Holly…ALWAYS a friendly smile when you come..I feel so welcome every single time I walk in the door. I don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else!!"

"The Pharmacy staff is wonderful!! We had 4 people who needed covid test to be able to travel to Canada with in 72 hours. They all had different time slots for their test. However when the 1st one arrived Heather arranged for them all to be around the same time(with in 10 minutes of each other). She went above what she needed to to make this work out. Thanks you so much for the what you did!! Support this business when you can!!!"

"I just love the personalized service at Hometown. When you walk in, everyone knows you by name. Heather is truly a knowledgeable Pharmacist, and happy and willing to answer any questions or concerns. She has advised me on certain issues with medications that my doctor never mentioned. You never feel rushed or like your business does not matter to them. They also a good fairly good at checking the cash vs Insurance cost to get you the lowest out of pocket cost. Only negative is they still do not have website access to reordering or prescription history for the Waunakee location. This makes it fairly inconvenient to have to call whenever you need a refill or information regarding prescriptions.I would have given 5 stars if it were not for this issue."
