"My 4 year old son has been going to Shining Star School House Preschool for over a year now and we are beyond happy and grateful that we found this place. Best choice ever! Preeya is amazing and very welcoming! From the very start, she was really very warm, accommodating and very knowledgeable. Their communication is great and are always there to help with any questions we may have. All the teachers are awesome, genuine and very loving towards the kids. My son loves it here! He is always super excited to go to "school" to see his teachers and friends. He has learned a lot and has developed social skills. The facility is very clean, organized and inviting which is what we were really looking for. We also love the safety measures they have in place especially during Covid and feel super safe with my son being here. As a mom, it can be hard to trust just anyone with your child and I couldn't ask for better caretakers for my son. If you are looking for quality care with a safe and fun environment, then this is the place for you. Easily the best child care facility for me. "STAY AWAY! We spoke to the owner Preeya about putting our daughter in this daycare 3 days a week. She told us yes no problem, she is a neighbor near my in-laws and said we needed to complete some paperwork and she would drop it off. Entire weekend goes by and we don’t hear from her and she doesn’t return calls. We finally get a hold of her and she tell us she no longer has room and left us in a lurch with no childcare 2 days before my child is supposed to start."

"My daughter went to Preeya's nursery when she turned 1. I was very worried at first but then Preeya paid extra attention to my daughter to ensure smooth transition. She also sent me pictures to let me know how my LO was doing at school. I am very glad that we found this great place for my daughter. The place is cozy and clean, with separate room for kids to nap which is a huge plus in this area. They periodically add new tour and change set ups to make sure kids have fun."

"This review is for the Shining Star nursery, which is owned by the same people as the Shining Star preschool. The nursery is on Clinton Ave., a block off San Pablo. (It's a half mile from Planet Fitness at McDonald and San Pablo.) I can't imagine a nursery better than Shining Star. The teachers there are kind and calm. It's *very* clean. (Adults don't wear shoes inside.) We visited some pretty dirty nurseries in the area and we're so glad that we found Shining Star. The hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. They're closed on public holidays. The cost is: $1755/month for 5 days per week $1485/month for 4 days per week You pay monthly regardless of how many days you go. So it comes out to be between $8.60 and 9.15 per hour. If you're late picking your child up, the fee is $1 per minute, which is standard around here. If you need to drop your child off early or pick them up late, you can prearrange this with Preeya and pay a $10 fee. We highly recommend Shining Star!"
