"As a wedding photographer, I am always excited for weddings that include the Delafield Hotel. Whether it is where they get ready, or just where they are starting their wedding day, I have yet to meet a couple who hasn't had a fantastic experience with the Hotel. The Delafield Hotel is perfect for brides who want gorgeous getting-ready wedding photos - and as a bonus - their beds are also super-great for jumping on! The suites are large and bright with ample space for wedding parties to prepare or to celebrate with morning mimosas. There are so many great places to take photos there, including their tower and its overlook of all of Delafield! Overall the hotel is the perfect combination of cool and classic - happy to pamper its guests"
"The room was fantastic, but the service was non-existent. We checked in on new years day. It is extremely understandable that they would be understaffed. However, we were one of only 2 couples in the hotel and our room was not available at 3p. That's a very long time from the checkout time of 11 am, so even if there were fewer staff members, there was 4 hours to get our room together. It's not like the hotel had 15 parties waiting. The other couple's room was also not ready. We were asked for our numbers and told we would get a message when it was ready. By 330p, we asked to leave our bags and the desk clerk decided to check if our room was ready and it turned out that it was. No one had called or messaged us prior. We stayed for 2 days and the entire time we were there there was either no one at the desk and no one bothered to say hello or ask us how our stay was or if we needed anything. The included breakfast at the hotel was a basic coffee machine and oranges. I saw some instant oatmeal on the tray once, that was it. I'm not exaggerating either. A pro is that we did receive a $10 voucher to use at the company owned coffee shop not too far from the hotel, but that place is expensive and $10 does not even get you two cups of coffee. So it's a bit of a kind as well. The last negative, and I very much understand that this is a personal thing, is that my wife and I both felt that the smell of cologne throughout the entire hotel was overwhelming. It was almost sickening. Thankfully, there was no trace in the room. On the plus side, the room itself it's quite nice. It is much larger than the average hotel room. There's plenty of room to walk around and the decor is nice. It almost seems like there's too much room in the standard room as there is no sitting area other than a desk and chair. That's not a complaint, just an observation. A huge plus was the bathroom. There is a large whirlpool tub and a massive walk-in shower. The shower has an oversized rain shower head, three vertical wall sprayers, and a handheld sprayer. You can turn on multiple combinations of two, which feels amazing. I don't think I could do that on a daily basis as the water usage seems insane and I would feel so guilty, but for a treat, it was really nice. You get a Keurig style coffee pot in the room with Starbucks pods, and that's nice for a coffee drinker such as myself. The hotel also owns a boutique, and very nice looking, Fitness Center next door. You get a voucher to use that as well. We walked in, but did not participate in any activities. However, compared to your average hotel gym, it's not even close. It was a very nice establishment. We did not use the ID bar and Restaurant inside the hotel because the menu just was not to our liking. There was not much of an entree selection, but rather shared plates. We decided to go to a nicer restaurant only a few minutes walking away. If the weather is not good and you don't want to go far, I can see how the restaurant in the hotel would be a decent place to go. Overall, we really liked our room and the hotel is very nice, but the lack of service was a bit of a downer. We would stay again probably but I would be hesitant stay for a long period of time."
"Had our daughters wedding there. Everything was perfect, from the rehearsal, restaurant, rooms(which are amazing) wedding venue, service&food. The only downside was I had bad sinus issues from pumped in scented air."
"We had our wedding here last weekend and we were blown away by how amazing the staff and coordinators were!! The food and drink was incredible! The rooms were stunning and they even left us a bottle of the sparkling wine from our champagne toast as well as a slice of our wedding cake for us to enjoy later that night! Thank you for making our wedding so lovely!!"
"This hotel is an absolute gem. Myself and my bridal party stayed here for my wedding weekend and we were just blown away by the beautiful and spacious rooms. It is a short walk from a lot of great restaurants and is perfect for a little getaway. We did not have our wedding at the hotel, but they offer weddings and I am sure they are just as lovely. Worth the price over and over. Thank you for a fantastic stay!"
